Introduction
Princess Peach: Showtime begins with Princess Peach going for a stroll with one of her Toads. Another Toad rushes out of her castle and hands her a Sparkle Theater invitation sent by an unknown party. The sender promises Peach and her friends an experience full of hope, intrigue, and excitement. This entices Peach to travel to the Sparkle Theater to see what the fuss is about.
Once you head inside, Toad will leave you be to gather tickets. Once you finish chatting with Toad, use your controller’s analog stick to control Peach. Head to your left and press the A button to talk with the Theet near The Castle of Thorn’s stageplay. After communicating with him, head toward the middle and talk with the Theet in the middle.
Next, head to your right and chat with the Theet near The Festival of Sweets stageplay. Once you chat with those three Theets, Toad will tell you that he collected the tickets for the event. Navigate Peach to Toad’s location and chat with Toad. This will initiate a cutscene involving Peach, her Toads, and this game’s main antagonist Grape, and her Sour Bunch entourage.
Grape arrives and uses her mystical powers to take over the Sparkle Theater. After forcing most of the Toads and Theets out of the theater, Grape and her companions depart, leaving Peach sad and alone in the lobby. Suddenly, a Sparkle Sprite named Stella exits The Castle of Thorns stageplay. She informs Peach that the masked characters (the Sour Bunch) are ruining her play.
Stella’s unsure if she can handle this alone, so she asks Peach if she can lend her a hand. Being the heroine that she is, Peach accepts Stella’s offer. Stella informs Peach about her origins and duties at the Sparkle Theater. Stella leads Peach to The Castle of Thorns stageplay and says some masked individuals are causing a ruckus inside. Peach and Stella enter the stageplay, which officially kicks off our adventure.
The Castle of Thorns
Before you start roaming The Castle of Thorns’s environment, Stella and Peach will recognize a random Theet lying on the ground nearby. Stella will bestow Peach with a pink ribbon that’ll give her a unique Sparkle ability. With Sparkle, Peach can attack enemies, solve puzzles, interact with objects, and restore Theets to their former glory. Once you obtain the Sparkle ability, press the B button near the Theet on the ground.
Once you help the Theet out, the area will return to normal and you’ll regain control over Peach. Once you do, head toward your right. You’ll encounter a couple of Sour Bunch enemies toying with several Theets. Use Peach’s Sparkle powers to defeat them. Defeating each Sour Bunch enemy will net you a coin. Continue attacking each Sour Bunch enemy on your right.
Eventually, you’ll run into the hurdle shown above. Press the A button to jump with Peach and continue heading to your right. Use your Sparkle powers to defeat the Sour Bunch enemies in that area. Simultaneously, use your Sparkle powers on a floating Theet nearby. You’ll earn yourself a bunch of coins by doing this. Eventually, you’ll run into a group of Sour Bunch enemies and some lit-up flowers. Use your Sparkle abilities to annihilate the Sour Bunch and help the flowers sprout.
After that, a gateway will emerge in front of Peach and Stella. After the two celebrate their accomplishment, this stageplay’s first Sparkle Gem will appear in front of you. Once Stella informs Peach about the Sparkle Gem’s significance, this Sparkle Gem will automatically enter Peach’s inventory. Once it does, head toward the middle pathway.
Once you enter this area, you’ll be greeted with a short yet spooky sequence. Once it concludes, navigate to your right and use Peach’s Sparkle powers to annihilate any Sour Bunch enemies nearby. Simultaneously, use these powers to assist any Theets with their troubles. Eventually, you’ll reach an area where there’s a staircase on the left and right of you.
Ascend the staircase on your left and keep heading left. By doing so, you’ll arrive at the second Sparkle Gem’s location. Navigate Peach toward that Sparkle Gem and claim it. Once you do that, turn right and head inside the room that the Theet with the Green Hat is next to. Once inside, use Peach’s Sparkle ability on all the trees present in the area.
Once you do, the top hat Theet in the middle will give Peach a pink dress ribbon as a reward. Grab that ribbon and depart from the area via the middle pathway. After that, navigate to your right. Be careful not to touch the purple branches that’ll pop out of the ground. You’ll arrive near a gap. Descend toward that gap. A couple of purple branches will pop out and block your path.
Use Peach’s Sparkle ability on the two knight Theets who’ll arrive near you. Doing so will give them the strength necessary to chop those branches down. After that, head to your right and use Peach’s Sparkle ability on two potted plants that are in front of a purple branch. This will convince the Theet on your right to give you the third Sparkle Gem. Refer to the image below.
Once you have the third Sparkle Gem in your inventory, navigate Peach to the pathway behind the two Theet knights. Once you enter that area, you’ll find yourself in a dimly lit environment. In the middle of this area, you’ll find a glowing light in the middle. Stella tells Peach that that’s the Swordfighter Sparkle. Navigate Peach to that transformation’s Sparkle. A pleasing cutscene will occur. During it, Peach will transform into Swordfighter Peach.
Then, several purple branches and knight enemies will appear in the area. Navigate Peach around the area and press the B button to attack the enemies with her faithful sword. After you obliterate all the enemies and branches, Peach will strike a victory pose. Then, the fourth Sparkle Gem will appear where Peach is standing in the image above.
It’ll automatically enter her inventory. Once it does, navigate Peach toward the pair of Theets in that direction. Place Peach in the middle of those two and press your controller’s ZR or ZL button to strike a pose. Doing so will net you a bunch of coins. After that, head passed the staircase on your right. There will be a large purple branch in your way.
Use Peach’s sword to chop that branch down. Afterward, Peach will strut a victory pose and net herself this stageplay’s fifth Sparkle Gem. Next, proceed to your right. You’ll run into a group of Theet knights. If you press the X button during this fight, Stella will offer you advice about monitoring your foes’ movements.
Also, she says if you press the B or A button at a specific interval, you can dodge or counterattack. After you defeat this horde of Sour Bunch knights, Peach will strut a victory pose. Additionally, she’ll receive the sixth Sparkle Gem. Refer to the image below.
After you obtain the sixth Sparkle Gem, navigate to your right. Be sure to use Peach’s sword to slice through any obstacles in your path. Eventually, you’ll enter a brief sequence involving a king who needs Peach and Stella’s help. Before you assist the king, turn left and ascend the grey platforms in that direction. Eventually, you’ll come across an area that’s asking you to strut a pose.
After you strike a pose, you’ll enter a room filled with four Sour Bunch knights. Defeat the Sour Bunch knights. Doing so will net you the seventh Sparkle Gem as shown below.
After you obtain the seventh Sparkle Gem, head to the middle and strike another pose. You’ll return to the area you were at before. Once you do, navigate Peach to the right. Use your sword to annihilate any purple branches in your way.
Additionally, feel free to grab the heart item nearby if you need some health. Eventually, you’ll run into three Sour Bunch knights who’ll fight you. After you defeat them, Peach will strut a pose and receive this level’s eighth Sparkle Gem.
Once you obtain the eighth Sparkle Gem, navigate Peach to the right to exit this section of the level. Once you do, proceed to your right and use your sword to defeat any annoying Sour Bunch enemies in your way. Eventually, you’ll arrive near a large purple branch. Do not chop that branch down yet. Instead, turn left and ascend the wooden platforms in that area.
Several Sour Bunch enemies are guarding the ninth Sparkle Gem. Use Peach’s sword to slash through those enemies. While doing so, obtain that ninth Sparkle Gem. Unlike myself, try not to get hurt by those pesky swordsmen.
Once you nab yourself the ninth Sparkle Gem, turn right and head for that large purple branch you spotted earlier. Use Peach’s sword to chop that branch down and keep heading right. Several Sour Bunch enemies will appear in your way so be sure to annihilate them. Once you depart from this phase’s location, you’ll arrive in front of King’s castle.
A sour bunch enemy will be torturing the king. Head toward the castle in front of you. Once you reach a certain spot, a cutscene will occur. During it, the castle will spin around and a plant-like Sour Bunch boss will challenge you to a duel.
During this fight, the plant boss will conjure up numerous vines on the battlefield. Chop away at a few of its vines. This will entice the boss to appear on the battlefield. When it does, jump to avoid its rotund vine’s attack and chop away at it after you dodge it. This will convince the plant boss to plummet to the ground, causing a shockwave to occur.
Jump to avoid the shockwave and once it finishes its failed animation, slice the plant up with Peach’s sword. Repeat these same steps one more time and eventually, you’ll defeat the plant boss. Once you do, you’ll receive The Castle of Thorn’s final Sparkle Gem. Refer to the image below.
After you obtain the tenth Sparkle Gem, the lights in the area will turn on. Additionally, Princess Peach will strike a marvelous pose and you’ll receive this victory screen highlighting your achievement. Good work.
Once you’re away from the victory screen, Peach and Stella will exit The Castle of Thorns stageplay. Once they do, the stageplay’s door will glow and an energy source will sprout from it. This source will travel toward the lobby’s middle area. After that, Stella ponders if the other stageplays could be in danger. This results in her asking Peach to check out the other stageplays available in the room.
Once you have control over Peach, navigate to the stageplay titled “Welcome To The Festival of Sweets” on the far right side. When you’re near that stageplay, enter it.
Welcome To The Festival of Sweets
Upon entering this stageplay, Stella will tell you that the bakers here love sharing sweets with everyone. Then, you’ll regain control of Peach again. Much like the plants in The Castle of Thorns stageplay, you can use Peach’s Sparkle abilities on any empty cupcake holder to earn coins. Regardless, navigate Peach to the right.
Once you reach a certain area, a cutscene will occur involving a Sour Bunch enemy and a few Theets. Use Peach’s Sparkle abilities to defeat the Sour Bunch adversary. Doing so will net you this stageplay’s first Sparkle Gem as shown below.
Once you nab the first Sparkle Gem, use Peach’s Sparkle abilities to replenish the Theet chefs shown above. Not only will you fill these Theets with glee but they’ll open the gateway in front of you. Having said that, enter that gateway and follow the Theet chefs. You’ll enter a new room filled with Sour Bunch enemies.
Use Peach’s Sparkle abilities to defeat them and continue heading to your right. Make sure to defeat all the bird-like Sour Bunch enemies. There should be one carrying a top hat Theet. Defeating that one will net you the second Sparkle Gem and this level’s pink ribbon.
After you claim your prizes, head to your right. You’ll stumble upon three depressed Theet chefs. Use Peach’s Sparkle power to replenish those chefs. After that, wait for the chefs to open up the gate to your right. When they do, follow the chefs to the farm. When you’re at the farm, head to your right and jump on the crates to your right.
Once you’re on the highest crate, turn left, and jump to your left. You’ll obtain this stageplay’s third Sparkle Gem by doing this.
After that, use Peach’s Sparkle power to restore all the crops in the area to good health. Once you’re done, one Theet will have a basket full of berries and another Theet will have a basket full of wheat. Exit the farm and follow the Theets carrying the goods. You’ll return to the area where you were previously.
When you do, wait for one of the Theets to open the bakery’s door for you. Once it does, enter the bakery. Upon entering, you’ll see several Theet chefs inside, looking depressed and concerned. Ignore them for now and obtain Peach’s Patisserie Sparkle power-up. You’ll receive a cutscene of Peach transforming into Patisserie Peach.
Once you regain control over Peach, head to the bottom left corner of your screen and pose with her like I did above. Doing so will net you a few coins. Afterward, travel to your right because you’ll be helping these Theets bake some scrumptious cookies. When you enter the cooking area, one of the Theets will inform you about what you must do.
Essentially, you must bake cookies within a given timeframe and place them on the Theets’ carts before the time runs out. You’ll have a bar in the background that’ll help you keep track of your progress. Filling the bar up to its fullest capacity will net you the fourth, fifth, and sixth Sparkle Gems. Be sure to press the B button repeatedly and not overdo it.
Additionally, use the containers where there are Theets present to get better results as I did above. Once you complete the task, the Theets will award you with three Sparkle Gems as shown in the image below.
After that, one of the Theets will thank you for your help. Then, they’ll ask you if you can help them with another task. Once you regain control over Peach, head right. Before you meet with Theet who’s near the center door, head toward the staircase on your right and pose with Peach. This will lead you to an underground area.
In it, you’ll see four hungry theets in front of you and an empty container on your left. Use Peach’s Patisserie abilities to whip up some cookies for those Theets. Once you finish making those cookies, give the Theets the cookies. They’ll present you with this stageplay’s seventh Sparkle Gem.
Once you retrieve the seventh Sparkle Gem, head to the red carpet area on your left and pose with Peach. You’ll return to the area you were at previously. When you do, turn left and interact with the Theet near the center door. He’ll ask you to help him with a cake-themed dilemma. The Theet will give you three hearts and will invite you inside.
Once you enter the area, the Theet will inform you about what it wants you to do. Essentially, you’ll receive a large Icing Piping Bag. You must design each cake with the exact design that appears on the right screen to the best of your ability. You’ll do so by moving Peach via your controller’s analog stick and by pressing the B button.
Also, when you finish a design, be sure to hold the A button. That way, you can move on to the next cake swiftly. You must repeat this process five times within the given timeframe. If you perform exceptionally at this activity, you’ll be rewarded with the eighth and ninth Sparkle Gem as shown below.
After you complete this task, one of the Theets will ask you to attend the opening ceremony. Once you enter a new area and regain control over Peach, head to your right and grab the Sparkle Gem-shaped cookie on your right. Next, ascend the middle red carpet staircase to the top. Place the Sparkle Gem-shaped cookie on the mantle as I did below.
When you do, the lights in the area will turn on and the festival begins. After the Theets cheer and dance around, Peach struts a marvelous victory pose, signaling the end of The Festival of Sweets portion of this game. Additionally, you’ll be presented with this victory screen.
After that, Peach and Stella exit The Festival of Sweets’s stageplay. When they do, the room will glow and a spark will shoot across the floor and head toward the middle area where Grape’s emblem is located. Once that’s done, you’re given the option to explore the lobby as you see fit.
For those who want to keep up with our guide, we’ll head to the Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids stageplay. Therefore, head to the top left corner of the lobby and enter that stageplay’s room.
Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids
Upon entering the stageplay’s room, Stella will share some interesting remarks. When she finishes, head to your right and use Peach’s Sparkle powers to make the two trees blossom like I did. After that, the Theets will cheer Peach on and bestow her with the first Sparkle Gem. Once you claim that Sparkle Gem, enter the middle pathway shown above.
In the next section, you’ll come out of a well. Once you do, head to your right. You’ll be traveling through a maze-like area. Try to avoid the knight enemy’s detection. If he spots you, you’ll be sent to the far left corner of this screen. You’ll stumble upon a sad Theet when you pass the knight by.
Use Peach’s Sparkle powers to cheer the Theet up. He’ll reward you by unveiling a secret hole pathway. Jump into the hole. You’ll appear on the right side. Once you do, navigate Peach to a tall stone structure on your right.
Place Peach against the stone pathway. It’ll cause the pathway to turn left. During this action, you’ll see the second Sparkle Gem. Once this action is completed, navigate Peach to the left to collect the second Sparkle Gem as I did below.
After you claim the second Sparkle Gem, keep heading right. Once you’re at the next level, keep heading right until you spot a passageway in the middle. Enter that passageway. You’ll arrive in front of the Ninja Peach Sparkle power-up. Navigate Peach toward that power-up to claim it.
A new cutscene will occur. In it, Peach transforms into Ninja Peach. Once the cutscene concludes, head toward the open area in the top left corner of your screen. Jump on the walls from left to right to ascend to the top.
When you reach the top you’ll spot the third Sparkle Gem hovering above you. Perform the same wall ascending trick to claim the Sparkle Gem and exit this section. Once you arrive at the next section, head to your right.
You’ll spot a knight enemy that’s next to a Theet and in front of a large boulder. Defeat that knight’s enemy when his back is turned. You’ll receive the third Sparkle Gem by doing this. Check the image below for visual assistance.
After you claim the fourth Sparkle Gem, head to your right. Use the bushes to hide from the knights and try to avoid getting flashed by them. Remember, when their backs are turned, attack them. Before you proceed further, head to the location shown in the image below.
Once you do, pose with Peach. It’ll take you to a room filled with coins. Grab all the coins and return to the area where there is a spotlight present. Pose with Peach to return to the same circular grass path you posed on earlier.
Now, head to your right and defeat the knight enemy on the first tall wooden platform in that direction. When you do, jump on that wooden platform. Then, wait for the knight on the tallest wooden platform to turn to the far right.
When he does, leap from your current platform and press the B button to attack him like I did. When he’s gone, leap toward the structure in front of you. Then, head left to claim the fourth Sparkle Gem. After that, jump off that structure and head right.
Defeat any opposing knights using Peach’s ninja attacks. Additionally, try leaning against the walls to avoid detection. You’ll arrive near an area that requires you to perform that left-and-right wall jump trick. Perform that trick to land on the platform on your left.
Then, continue heading left. Simultaneously, defeat the knight enemy nearby. Once you do, jump on the crate platforms to your left and the building structure on your right. When you’re on the building structure, head to your right.
Eventually, you’ll drop in the area depicted above. When you do, break the three jars on your left. Doing so will free this top hat Theet. He’ll reward you with this stageplay’s ribbon. Once he does, delve into the water and head right. Claim any coin you stumble upon during your travels.
During your travels, you’ll stumble upon a red knight in the middle. Wait for him to have his back turned before annihilating him. When you defeat him, you’ll receive the fifth Sparkle Gem. Refer to the image below.
After you defeat the red knight, the elderly Theet in front of you will be freed. At the same time, he’ll warn you about a pesky Sour Bunch enemy who stole one of his scrolls. He’ll ask you to confront that Sour Bunch enemy.
Before you do that, head to the far right corner of your screen. You’ll stumble upon this spotlight shown in the image below.
Once you do, pose with Peach. You’ll enter a new area that’ll task you with performing that left-and-right wall jump trick. Perform the trick to reach this area’s highest point. By doing so, you’ll spot the sixth Sparkle Gem hovering over a metal platform on your left.
Navigate Peach to the left and claim that sixth Sparkle Gem. After that, descend the level and return to the middle area where the spotlight is present. Pose with Peach to exit this hidden area. You’ll return to the area shown in the previous image.
Once you do, exit this level by heading to your right. The next section involves Peach getting into some fun sidescrolling shenanigans like her faithful ally, Mario. During this side-scrolling fiasco, you’ll be using that left-and-right wall-jumping trick too.
During this charade, defeat all the Sour Bunch enemies that are in your way. Moreover, try your best to collect all the diamond-shaped gems in the area. You’ll be using those to forge the seventh Sparkle Gem like I did above.
Moreover, press the A button and hold your analog stick upward to use the walled pathway in front of you. Some diamond gems will be on those paths. If you follow our tips accordingly, you should exit this level with the seventh Sparkle Gem in your grasp.
The next section involves more side-scrolling. However, you’ll be leaping on wooden platforms and poles while defeating Sour Bunch enemies in the area. Time your jumps accordingly during this phase. Before you reach the end, annihilate the Sour Bunch bird who is carrying some Theets.
When you free these Theets from the bird’s grasp, they’ll reward you with the eighth Sparkle Gem. After you retrieve this Sparkle Gem from them, head to your right to reach the next area. The next area includes logs for you to jump on, water for you to cross, and a neat scroll power-up. Keep heading right until you reach the point where you receive the scroll power-up.
This power-up will allow you to control the large stone structure you’re on top of. Feel free to tilt your analog stick to the right while you’re controlling this rocky structure. Additionally, jump with Peach to nab any coins or goodies that are hovering above her.
Once this rock-controlling fiasco ends, head to your right and attack that pesky Sour Bunch enemy. Peach will retrieve this stageplay’s final Sparkle Gem after she defeats this opponent. As always, Peach will strike a pose and the Theets in this area will cheer her on. You’ll receive this astonishing victory screen afterward.
As always, Peach and Stella will exit the stageplay. The spark from this stageplay will travel toward Grape’s emblem in the middle of the lobby. Also, the stageplay you departed from will light up. Once you have control over Peach again, head to and enter the stageplay on your right titled “Cowgirl In The Wilderness.”
Cowgirl In The Wilderness
After a cutscene ensues involving some cowboy-looking Sour Bunch enemies, navigate Peach to the right. Be sure to use Peach’s Sparkle powers to brighten up any sad-looking Theet or weird item in the area. Once you do that, enter the first building on your right. Inside, you’ll find many items you can Sparkle up. Also, you’ll find a depressed Theet inside.
Use your Sparkle powers on those items and that Theet. After that, exit the building. Your screen will mirror the image above. If so, enter the second building. Once again, use Peach’s Sparkle ability on “sparkle-able” items present in the room. Doing so will net you the first Sparkle Gem as shown below.
After you obtain the first Sparkle Gem, exit the building. When you’re outside, head to your right and use Peach’s Sparkle powers to motivate the Theets to open the gateway in that direction. Navigate through the gateway and proceed to the next section. When you’re at the next section, head right.
You’ll spot two Sour Bunch enemies guarding a door. To the right of them is the second Sparkle Gem. Use Peach’s Sparkle powers on those enemies to immobilize them. Once immobilized, head to your right and claim that second Sparkle Gem.
After that, turn left and navigate Peach to the carriage in that direction. Jump on the bouncy carriage and land on the building’s rooftop. Travel to your right. A cutscene will ensue involving this stageplay’s boss. Once it ends, proceed to your right and use your Sparkle powers on the two Theets nearby.
Then, enter the building they’re in front of. Once inside, use Peach’s Sparkle powers on the three light sources present in the room. You’ll earn yourself the third Sparkle Gem. Additionally, lighting the third light source will net you this stageplay’s ribbon.
After you obtain that, head to your left and use your Sparkle powers on the two Theets again. This will motivate them to move the device that’s blocking you from the Cowgirl Peach Sparkle power-up. Once they’re done moving it, navigate Peach to that power-up to claim it. After the transformation cutscene concludes, you’ll be taken to this stageplay’s boss’s location.
He’ll utter a few words before having his men fight you. Defeat these individuals with Peach’s lasso. Also, be sure to grab the barrels with Theets inside them. You’ll need to rescue five Theets from the Sour Bunch. After this ends, you’ll walk away with numerous hearts and the fourth Sparkle Gem.
You’ll need to take on another army of Sour Bunch enemies before you can proceed through this level. After you do that, head outside. Once outside, a cutscene will ensue involving a white horse. You’ll be using this horse to traverse through some upcoming side-scrolling sections. You’ll want to tilt your analog stick upward and downward during these sections.
Also, be sure to leap over any upcoming hurdles with the A button. Moreover, use Peach’s lasso to wrangle up any nearby crates the enemies’ horses are carrying. To obtain the fifth Sparkle Gem, you’ll need to collect a few diamond Sparkle fragments in the first section. You’ll receive this screen when you complete that.
After you obtain that Sparkle Gem, keep heading right. You’ll spot a purple Sour Bunch horse carrying a Sparkle Gem crate. Grab the crate with your lass to obtain the sixth Sparkle Gem. Next, continue heading right to enter the next section. In this section, one of the Sour Bunch enemies will be breaking a few bridges to get in your way. Hop over those broken areas and use Peach’s lasso to defeat him.
Additionally, you’ll see a purple Sour Bunch horse carrying a Sparkle Gem crate. Keep your eyes on this enemy while you’re traversing this level. When the time’s right, use Peach’s lasso to steal that crate from the horse. You’ll receive the seventh Sparkle Gem if you pull this off successfully.
For the eighth Sparkle Gem, continue heading right. When the time is right, grab this stageplay’s boss’s podium he’s carrying with Peach’s lasso. This will net you the eighth Sparkle Gem.
After that, head to the right side of the screen. There should be a spotlight present there. Pose with Peach to enter this stageplay’s secret room. Once inside, defeat four Sour Bunch enemies. By doing so, you’ll receive the ninth Sparkle Gem. I missed this one during my initial playthrough, so be sure to follow these steps.
After you obtain that Sparkle Gem, head to the spotlight area and pose with Peach. You’ll return to the right of a door. Enter the door. Once you do, keep moving forward. This stageplay’s boss will challenge you to a duel.
For this duel, wait for the stageplay boss to shoot a barrel at you. Grab the barrel and throw it at the stageplay boss. This will immobilize him. Once immobilized, grab the stageplay boss and throw him. He’ll land on the left gate and throw a tangent. After this, he’ll rush at you like a bull. Be sure to move to the left or right with Peach to dodge his attack.
You’ll need to repeat these steps two more times to defeat this enemy boss. He’ll increase his ammo and perform more bull rush attacks with each phase. As long as you follow our steps, you should defeat him. Defeating him will net you the final Sparkle Gem. You’ll be greeted with the victory screen below.
My victory screen is somewhat different because I missed out on the ninth Sparkle Gem’s location in my first playthrough. Therefore, if you missed any Sparkle Gems during your first run-through, you’ll need to replay the entire level like I did. If you see any light grey Sparkle Gems on your results screen, that means you obtained them already.
If it’s invisible, that means you need to find it. That tidbit aside, Peach and Stella will exit the stageplay and its door will light up. Also, the spark from the door will travel toward Grape’s emblem in the lobby area. A new door will appear.
Before The Boss Fight
Head to the door with Grape’s emblem on it. A new cutscene will occur involving Peach and Stella. Stella questions if the door is connected to the threads that formed after you conquered these four stageplays. As shown in the image above, she’ll ask you for 10 Sparkle Gems. Give Stella those Sparkle Gems.
Stella will use those Sparkle Gems to give her the power necessary to open the door. Once she opens it, she and Peach will enter the room. Darkle’s companion Disco Wing will greet you in an unfavorable light. Then, she’ll challenge you to a duel as most bosses do.
Disco Wing – Boss Fight Phase 1
She may not be the leader of the bunch, but Disco Wing will pack a groovy punch. This Disco Wing battle can be tricky, but we’ll guide you through it. Essentially, Disco Wing will fly over you from the right and left directions. During this occasion, it’ll drop disco balls on the ground. After it litters the field with disco balls, attack the disco balls with Peach’s Sparkle power.
Attack those disco balls as soon as Disco Wing hovers over you. Additionally, you’ll want to perform this action twice. Doing so will transform Disco Wing into an orb. Attack that orb with Peach’s Sparkle power. Disco Wing will throw a tangent and initiate her next battle phase.
Disco Wing – Boss Fight Phase 2 & 3
For the next phase, Disco Wing will drop three platforms near you. Dodge those platforms. Also, Disco Wing will head to the center area and use its powers to send you and the platforms upward. Additionally, it’ll return to the left of you and form into a large disco ball. Use the platforms to avoid Disco Wing’s attacks. Once it finishes this step, it’ll return to dropping small disco balls near you. Like before, attack those disco balls with Peach’s Sparkle abilities. Wait for Disco Wing to hover over you before you do so. You’ll want to perform this stunt twice.
Doing so will initiate Disco Wing’s final phase and will result in you plummeting to the ground. This final phase is similar in structure to the second one. Except after Disco Wing performs its disco ball stunt, it’ll be dropping fake disco balls toward you. These will contain mini-Disco Wings inside. Use Peach’s Sparkle powers to defeat those fake disco balls. Also, use the same wait-and-Sparkle approach we’ve been using on the real disco balls. Make sure to hurt Disco Wing twice. As long as you follow these steps, you’ll win.
What happens after you defeat Disco Wing?
After you defeat Disco Wing, the Sour Bunch will lose control over the Sparkle Theater’s first floor. As you can see, the Theets will regain control over it, causing everything to be bright and joyful. Stella questions why the “Sparklas” haven’t returned yet. She asks Peach to visit the next floor to see if there are any issues up there.
Before we travel to the second floor, head to the Pictioneer Theet to your left and chat with him. He’ll give you a nifty album that’ll highlight specific achievements. After he hands you the album, chat with one of the Theets on your right. He’ll be turning his head to the left and right.
Chat with this Staff Member Theet. He’ll inform you about an upcoming Swordfigher Rehearsal that’ll take place soon. He says if you can defeat enemies within a given timeframe, he’ll reward you with something stellar. The more enemies you beat, the higher the reward. As always, press the A button to accept his offer.
Swordfighter Rehearsal
As the Staff Member Theet promised, the Swordfighter Rehearsal is all about defeating enemies. You’ll need to defeat 140+ enemies using Peach’s sword-wielding abilities if you hope to receive that stellar ribbon by the end of it all. Moreover, try to avoid touching any of the enemies or vines present in this area.
Doing so will result in your loss. Also, try holding your analog stick upward. Simultaneously, press the B button. This will allow you to deal damage to the Sour Bunch enemies on the platforms. You’ll find this more appealing than you using a typical leap-attack method. When all is said and done, the Staff Member Theet will calculate your results.
If you defeated 140 or more enemies during your rehearsal, you’ll receive this ribbon as a reward. Now with the ribbon in hand, we can proceed to the next Sparkle Theater floor level.
