Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne star as Will and Sylvia, two long-time friends who come together after years of estrangement when Will divorces his wife Audrey. The show makes no meal of its concept and never tries to put into question the friendship between Will and Sylvia.
There are various instances when their dynamic is misconstrued by people. But it has an insignificant effect on them. The show also explores their individual lives and how they deal with adult problems while juggling family and work.

Platonic Season 1 Episode 8 Release Date
Platonic Season 1 Episode 8 will release on Wednesday 28th June at 12am (PT)/3am (ET).
The episode is titled “San Diego” and will pick up right after the events of episode 7, where Sylvia was humiliatingly fired from her job on her second day. Platonic will drop with subtitles available from the release too. Episode 8 is expected to be roughly 33 minutes long, consistent with the time frame for the rest of the series.

What happened in Episode 7?
Episode 7 is arguably the most chaotic in the Platonic series. The tables were turned and it was Sylvia’s moment to face the bells. She started her first day at the law firm with optimism, which quickly died down when she got to the workplace and learnt that it wouldn’t be easy going up against the 20-something associates. The burden of work is huge and so is her mantle to play the catchup game. But things go from bad to worse as Sylvia dozes off at work and loses her job.
