Pit Babe (Thai BL) – Episode 1 Recap & Review

Introducing The King of The Hallows, Pit Babe, and His Boy, Charlie

Episode 1 of Pit Babe starts at the Hallows Super GT Championships, with the racers preparing for the day’s final race. The top two rival teams and the fans’ favourites include Red Racing and X Hunter. The top racers from these two teams, including Winner from Red Racing and Way from X Hunter, are already at the starting line getting ready for the race. Their mechanics are with them handling the final tunings before the race.

However, the most important racer, known by the fans as King of Racing from team X Hunter and the most beloved by fans, is nowhere to be seen. One of the mechanics starts to worry that the King of racing is missing and asks another mechanic about his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, the King of the Hallows, Babe, is busy concentrating at the lockers with the help of another alpha. Babe is a special kind of Alpha due to his abilities of heightened senses. Unlike ordinary people,  Babe has a strong sense of taste, touch, smell, vision, and hearing, which might be overwhelming and cloud his judgment if not controlled through an intimate session with another Alpha. Therefore, before every race, Babe must have sex with an Alpha, which is what he is doing moments before the start of the race. Babe is superior to other racers due to his unique abilities.

Babe finally enters the Hallows, and the race begins. As expected, the X Hunter team wins the first and the second position. After the race, Alan notices that Babe is grumpy, and he tells them about having to ditch his sex partner because of his strong Alpha pheromones. The team starts joking about how many partners Babe has been with that month. Way asks Babe to join them for a party, but he asks them to go first since he wants to shower and eliminate the strong Alpha smell from earlier.

On his way to the lockers, Babe notices that someone is following him, and he confronts the person, thinking he is a stalker. The person tells him he is his fan and is waiting for Babe. The man wants to ask for a favour from Pit Babe. He dreams of becoming a racer like  Babe and wants to try out for Team X Hunter but lacks the finances to rent a race car. Therefore, he wants Babe to lend him one of his cars.

Babe refuses to listen to his request and asks him to leave, or he will call security. The man is persistent and follows him into the lockers. Babe finds out that his name is Charlie, and he is an Alpha, which gives Babe an idea. If Charlie can satisfy him, Babe will give him any car he wants. Charlie is ready and up to the challenge.

Babe seems satisfied by Charlie’s performance and asks him to accompany him to the party after their friends-with-benefits session at the lockers. At the party, Babe’s friends, including Dean, Sonic, North, Alan, and Way, make bets about how many days Babe’s new boy, Charlie, will last. They think he will be Babe’s boy for at most four days.

Winner from Red Racing crashes the party. Pit Babe calls him out for a revenge challenge and places the bet at 500,000 bhat. Winner accepts the bet, but he wants Charlie as his payment. Babe agrees. However, Winner chooses that they compete in a sport that Winner is more talented at, drifting. X Hunter team, including Charlie, worries about Winner’s motive, and Way asks Babe to be careful. Babe wins the bet, and Charlie gives him a thumbs up. Babe gives Charlie a ride home, and someone takes a video of his car on his way back.

Next, a mysterious man goes through videos and photos of Pit Babe and talks about wanting to know how Babe will escape him. Babe takes Charlie to the garage the next day, much to everyone’s surprise. He has never taken any of his boys there, and they start speculating whether or not Charlie is special.

Way asks Babe to test drive his racing car. He asks Charlie to wait for him as he takes the car to the race track. Alan and Way watch from a distance, and Alan talks about Way’s feelings for Babe. Alan asks Way to confess to Babe and see if he has feelings for him, but Way says they should stay friends.

Later, Charlie and Babe have an intimate session at Babe’s house. Babe neither lets Charlie kiss him nor stays over after sex. However, this time, he gives Charlie his door’s password. Charlie arrives early the next morning to make breakfast. Charlie calls himself Babe’s boy, which Babe disapproves of, saying he has not yet agreed to take Charlie as his boy.

Charlie sulks, which Babe finds funny, and agrees to let Charlie use his car for the audition. However, he will not help Charlie with anything other than the car. On his way out, Babe notices that Charlie is busy on his laptop. Charlie asks to stay in the house longer, revising a client’s order. Babe agrees and asks Charlie to join the club after he is done working.

At the race track, Way tells Babe and Alan about the Red Racing team starting to make a move to overthrow X Hunter. He has heard rumours about their rivals intending to steal their talented staff. Way worries about the team’s information leaking, and he tells Babe that he should be wary of Charlie. Way thinks Charlie might have an ulterior motive, but Babe does not think so. Since Way insists that Babe should not trust Charlie, Babe agrees to dump him if he sees that he is being fishy.

Later, Way joins Babe at the club but leaves soon after since he is uncomfortable with Charlie. He feigns work at the garage and then leaves. Charlie notices that Way does not like him, but Babe tells him to only focus on him. Charlie wants to know why Babe has kept him around longer and why people at the garage think he is special. Babe tells him that he is different because he lasts longer in sex, he likes his personality (innocent, docile, and soft), and most importantly, unlike other Alphas, Charlie does not have a pheromone, which makes their bodies match.

Charlie spends the night at Babe’s, and the following day, Babe gets a text asking him to check out the news. The announcer reports that UAC CORP is becoming the Red Racing team’s new sponsor, whose CEO is Tony Chen. Tony Chen is the mysterious man who was looking at Babe’s videos and photos earlier in the episode, and he is seen directing his assistant to get their men ready. He asks him to deal with Babe as soon as possible, and he does not care about the method. Meanwhile, Charlie gets a call from someone who asks him for a report about Babe.

The Episode Review

For the fans of the Omegaverse fiction, the episode is easy to understand as it provides in-depth information about the main characters. The main suspense in this episode is about Tony Chen and his connection to  Babe. Why does he want Babe to put plans in place to see how Babe escapes him? Also, Way is suspicious about Charlie, making viewers worry about whether Charlie approached Babe with an ulterior motive.

Are his hidden intentions (if any) good or bad? Who called him at the end of the episode asking for a report about  Babe? As a fan of Omegaverse stories, this episode is immensely entertaining. It sets the series’ pace, introducing all the important players and the possible conflicts among them. The story is unique, making it even more thrilling without forgetting that the characters are eye candy.
