The series commences with Kouya Madoka, a freelance photographer who was once a renowned photojournalist but is currently experiencing a career slump. Kouya encounters Haruka Asahina, a young and exceptionally skilled driver who ignites his inspiration. Together, they work towards the dream of ascending the rankings and ultimately standing on the podium.

What Happens in Episode 7 of Overtake!?
In Episode 7, we witness Satsuki admitted to the hospital due to his crash in the previous race. He has sustained a significant number of injuries that will keep him away from the sport for a considerable period. Komaki Motors also loses its sponsor due to Koya’s past.
Koya is deeply affected by the impact it has on the team and disappears with a heavy heart. Haruka and the team revert to their operating style from before they had a sponsor, which affects their performance. Haruka is greatly concerned about Koya’s well-being and embarks on a journey to find him.
