Outlander Season 7 Episode 9
Outlander is back and after the dramatic events of season 6, Jamie and young Ian race to rescue Claire before she’s wrongfully convicted of the murder of Malva Christie. However, their mission is made all the more difficult and perilous as the American Revolution arrives.
Season 7 takes place right in the heart of this, as Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent pains as the two armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of rebellion. The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they’re now forced to change with it.
In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers are faced with the horrors of the Revolutionary War. That brings them out of North Carolina and into the hungry jaws of independence, as our characters are forced to make impossible choices that could tear their family apart forever.

How Many Episodes Will Outlander Season 7 Have?
Season 7 of Outlander is scheduled for 16 episodes, which is back to business as usual after a disappointingly short season 6 (thanks to a certain virus doing the rounds). This has also been renewed for an eighth and final season already too for those interested to know!
The schedule is also back to the usual one-episode-a-week deal, so expect the story to develop over time with plenty of drama and romance to boot.

This is disgusting making us all wait, we already waited 2 years. Not worth it!
I guess that I will have to finish Minx, then cancel the subscription after that. The roster of shows on Starz has not kept my attention. If this short series of Outlander is due to the strike, then I support all those participating. However, I won’t support the network.
Bye bye STARZ!!!!! You have messed with our Outlander one to many times!!!
Hey @Lydia, probably not. It was announced in March that Outlander season 7 would be split in 2 with part 2 being released in early 2024. The writers and actors strikes began in May. But part 2’s release date may be affected by the strike. Since season 8 has been confirmed to have been halted because of it, Starz may drag season 7 till there is an update on season 8
I was wondering why they would do that and the actors strike came to mind… anyone know if that played a part?
Yes very ticked off!! This is crazy! I’m dropping Starz
I’m going to cancel my Starz subscription. Very disappointed that they’re doing another pause. Leaving us fans on another cliff hanger. There’s not much else good on Starz. I don’t know if I’ll be renewing in 2024.
Why would they do this. It is so disappointing. Going to cancel my Starz subscription now.
This is ridiculous having to wait till early 2024!! Starz is starting to act like HBO…. and believe me that is not a freaking compliment!! House of the Dragon on HBO season 1 was epic but now we have to wait the whole year into 2024 sometime to see season 2 and don’t get me started on Yellowstone and the prequels like 1923 we saw half of a season and we don’t even know when we’re going to see the other half and then Yellowstone does what like Eight Episodes not even and now we have to wait the whole way to effing December!!! These directors and producers and writers and whoever else makes these decisions about when these episodes are going to air are just making people not want to watch anymore get your head screwed on right and give us our episodes!!!
canceling Starz until they get smarter about NOT making viewers wait, and untill they get more content like Outlander and Serpent Queen, Gaslit, Spanish Princess ….enough Hollywood pulp , I can hardly find anything to watch any more on Starz
I’m canceling Starz. I’m not paying all this money every month to be put on hold. First half of Season 7 was a snore fest anyway. Not interested anymore.
Shame on you, STARZ. All this wait, all the promises….I guess you’ve realized that many of us will cancel our subscriptions once Outlander is finished since you’ve broken promises and trust
Just planned our day expecting season 7, episode 9 to air today.
Argh?!? So frustrating.
Yes, we are canceling Starz.
They promised an episode to drop every Friday through summer.
Already purchased the books and will enjoy them.
It’s stupid to split up the episodes. Why can’t we watch them each week like and other normal series. What is so special about Outlander.
I will wait because I love each and every season and episode’s. And I will keep my Starz because Outlander is not the only show on the network I like. Eave though it is the best I will cry when it ends.
Y’all this ain’t it it’s just midseason finale
How about everyone read the books. They have been around since long before the series and they are much better. The series changed stuff from the book.
I ended up cancelling Starz. You successfully drove this customer away with your drag it out tactics. Love the Outlander series but the network is intolerable with its scheduling.
Exactly. They promoted a “super sized” season and this is it?!?! Brutal. I’m so disappointed.
I feel like that since it’s been announced that the show will be canceled after season 8, Starz is spanning 7 and, most likely, 8 out over a long period of time because, people like me, will cancel our Starz subscription……until the next big hit comes out 🤣 I really don’t know. That all just sounds good in my head! However, I was not impressed with the acting and production of Season 7. I felt like since they know season 8 will be their last, they have to cram as much as they can into these last 2 seasons of the show according to the books she has written. I did read that because she is not done writing the Outlander books, the producers will be putting their own ending to the shows final episode. Why would they cancel a show like Outlander when the books are still being written and the fan base is so large, not to mention the tourism these small towns in Scotland are getting? I recently visited Scotland and did 4 days of Outlander tours on my own. The locals in these small towns have stated that the tourism from Outlander is what they have come to depend on (for the most) especially during production periods. I also read about a spin off being made about Jamie’s parents called “Blood of my Blood” and a couple other spins offs about characters in the books.
I’m just as upset about all of this as everyone else but, I bet there will be more to Outlander spin offs than we think.
This is ridiculous. Wait 2 years for 8 episodes. And then tell us we have to wait for months to see the end of season 7. Not interested in watching anymore.
I love all the episodes so much. I loved it when they fell in love early in the series. They are great actors and seem genuinely in love. It has been a tough wait for episodes to be aired. In reality they should not have split season seven. It is not fair to the audience. Get real guys!!!!!!!!
Well, I’ll be canceling my Starz subscription until episode 8 is released. This is ridiculous!!
Well that was fucking retarded. Splitting the season like that after so many delays and a shortened season 6. So done…already read the damn books.
Seriously it is too long of await for the second part of season 7. It’s literally torture!! We all know the series is coming to and end, but in my opinion dragging it out like this is torture. I hope they don’t make us wait an unreasonable long time for season 8 and torture us with a 2 part season again!!
I want them to all end up in the present as a family again and also start understand folks are tired of waiting we want our beloved characters and you guys are holding back on us
Seriously!
Season 6 – short.
Season 7 – split.
Come on STARZ!?!
I am done with this stupid show. It gives you 8 episodes though they have 16 filmed. I don’t have time or the energy to invest in the wait anymore. It is just not worth it.
Why do we have to 6months b4 the next 9 episodes. We waited 2 years for season 7.part 1 this is ridiculous. Makes me want to cancel Starz.
Favorite part is Jaime and Claire’s wedding prep, the wedding and wedding night. Most poignant was Jaime’s moments after Murtaug’s death. Favorite Season is #1.
I hope to see them all end up in the present
