Episode 6 of Only Murders in the Building will be released on Tuesday 5th September at 12 am (PT) / 3 am (ET).
The episode is titled “Ghost Light” making what comes next quite ambiguous. The plot summary for the episode reads as: “All roads lead the trio back to the Goosebury Theater during a nerve-rattling thunderstorm. With Howard as their jittery guide, they track a legendary ghost who’s haunted the theatre for generations.”

What Happened In Episode 5?
Episode 5 of Only Murders revolves around love. While Mabel and Oliver go on separate dates with Tobert and Loretta, respectively, Charles has a lot to figure out with Joy. He has yet to ask her about the lipstick, although she is hesitant when he finally does.
Sazz Pataki makes a guest appearance and helps Charles get past his fears of self-doubt and commitment. Joy reveals that she was the one who helped attend to Ben’s “cosmetic emergency” that night.
Someone had punched him – Charles reveals himself to be that person – and she covered it up. That is how the lipstick fell off. Charles is overwhelmed and relieved but things go south quickly. Charles’ bold acknowledgement of his inadvertent proposal upsets Joy greatly, who ends up calling the engagement off.
Mabel and Tobert’s date, apparently to discuss a lead, soon turns into something more romantic. They also take home information that Jonathan, Ben’s understudy, met with Dr. C, who attended to Ben and handed over an envelope. Their night ends in sex, as does Oliver and Loretta’s. But the latter couple have a sort of rough ride as they go from awkward to smoking weed together on a cruise.
Loretta’s dark side is revealed in this episode, which puts her squarely in the target box as Ben’s murderer.
