Episode 5 of Only Murders in the Building will be released on Tuesday 29th August at 12 am (PT) / 3 am (ET).
Episode 5 is titled “Ah, Love!” making what comes next quite ambiguous. This episode promises to focus on Joy’s character and her possible entanglement with Ben’s murder. We will also get a chance to see how Tobert and Mabel’s fledgeling partnership goes. Oliver’s budding romance with Loretta and Charles’ reaction to the new developments with Joy will also be interesting tangents for the new episode.

What Happened In Episode 4?
Episode 4 of Only Murders makes many character and plot progressions on various fronts. Charles and Joy are now living together which gives the former unbearable anxiety. His discomfort surfaces in the form of blackouts on stage while performing.
Mabel scouts new homes in an expensive city, which is perhaps too steep for her to make ground. But she gets an ironically hopeful avenue to redeem her situation in the form of Cinda Canning. She offers Mabel a job – a restart to her podcast career with “Bloody Mabel.”
Oliver hesitates to take the next step in his pursuit of Loretta. After their kiss, things have been quiet.
The trio investigate Ben’s dressing room at the theatre where they find Kimber using her dressing room as a place to conduct her cosmetics business.
Mabel is reminded of her slack efforts and missing work ethic while conversing with Kimber. But more importantly, she realizes that Kimber is not the killer since she sold the hanky on eBay in response to Ben backing out from endorsing her anti-ageing serum. Kimber suggests that Ben had a red mark on his face before the show and someone helped him get rid of it. That someone might possibly be the killer.
The episode ends with the revelation that the red lipstick that the trio found in Ben’s room at the theatre belongs to Joy, who previously alluded to her beef with Ben for not liking Charles. This makes her a suspect. Also, Charles ends up proposing to Joy in another blackout incident.
