The movie is based on the real-life experiences of Doug White, a man who was forced to land a plane that he was a passenger on when the pilot suddenly died. Also on the plane was White’s family so not only did he have to save himself from imminent doom but the people he loved and cared for as well.
“I’m in the good Lord’s hands flying this,” White said over the radio to air traffic controllers, and he meant what he said. He was a committed Christian who relied on his limited skills and Divine intervention when he tried to land the plane to safety.

Sean McNamara is at the helm of this new movie. He has over 70 directing credits to his name, including the movies Soul Surfer, Hoovey, and The Miracle Season which also had Christian themes.
