Episode 7
Episode 7 of Ninja Kamui kicks off with Higan fully synchronized with his Kamui armour. An intense fight unfolds between Higan and the AUZA assassin. This time, Higan is faster, more agile, and stronger than ever before. In a matter of minutes, Higan defeats the armour-clad assassin, who acknowledges that Higan is the most superior ninja he’s ever faced.
However, in the final moments, the assassin tries to self-destruct, hoping to take Higan out in the blast. Higan acts swiftly, pulling the assassin out of his suit before it can blow. It’s clear that Higan is not willing to give the assassin a quick and painless death.
Back at Auza headquarters, the CEO is thrilled with how Higan is handling the Kamui armour and is keen to access the operational data. The CEO even suggests to Yamazi that they should consider paying Higan for the data. However, Yamazi dismisses this idea as absurd and orders Zhai to terminate Higan before he creates more trouble for the organization.
As the story unfolds, Emma shares the story of how she crossed paths with Mari. Mari was more than just a mentor to Emma but a saviour who rescued her from life-threatening situations multiple times. Unlike the harsh and unforgiving ninja clan, Mari was kind, caring, and compassionate. Despite Emma’s facial disfigurement from an accident, Mari never treated her differently.
Emma admired Mari for her ninja ethos, stating that Mari never drew her blade for attack or killing but solely for defence. To Emma, this epitomized what it meant to be a true ninja. Under Mari’s guidance, Emma learned a secret art that could induce suspended animation in a person. Mari also invented the digital device that helped the defected change their faces.
Their peaceful existence was disrupted when Yamazi seized control of their organization. The chieftain learns that Mari has broken the ninja code by becoming emotionally and physically attached to someone, and he orders Emma to kill Mari. Emma advises Mari to abandon the baby and return to the ninja way of life, but Mari refuses.
Unable to harm her only friend, Emma tries to take her own life, but Mari intervenes, insisting that Emma must live on. Mari defects and goes into hiding with Higan. On the other hand, Emma decides not to defect and remains with the organization to keep track of AUZA and Yamazi’s actions. Later, Emma is sent to infiltrate the FBI when Mike begins investigating AUZA.
As the episode nears its end, the scene shifts to the present, and Emma reveals to Higan that Yamazi has started working on his master plan.
The Episode Review
As for Yamazi’s master plan, it’s not explicitly stated, but based on the clues provided, it could potentially involve something like world domination. However, it’s best not to jump too far ahead.
Toward the end of the episode, a man is seen on television giving a speech, and he appears to be the president of the United States of America. What if Yamazi is planning to assassinate him and replace him with someone who will do his bidding?
It’s a very ambitious plan, but for someone like Yamazi, it might be well within his capabilities to carry it out.
