Movies and Shows Coming to Viki in June 2023
Rakuten Viki is constantly surprising us as it picks up fantastic content from across Asia. It’s a community-driven site that keeps the subtitles coming so you can enjoy the content you love in more than 150 languages. Some content is free and other, often newer content, is available via Viki pass.

Now – August 30th
Heart Signal 4
This 2023 Korean reality show is the fourth season following its launch in 2017. Cupid returns for a fresh assault on the hearts of a new group of romance-ready singletons. The group has never met before, but must live together in Signal House.
House rules encourage flirting, but forbid open confessions of interest. Instead, each must express his or her feelings via anonymous text message, leaving the recipient guessing. Two episodes are up and two more are on the way.

My Perfect Stranger
A Korean drama starring Kim Dong Wook (You Are My Spring) as Hae Jun, a cynical news anchor and Jin Ki Joo (From Now On, Showtime!) who plays Yoon Young, a publishing company editor. Both find themselves transported to the past and gradually realize that what seems like a series of coincidences is more than just chance. The first 2 episodes are free to watch now but this one is also airing every week.
June 5th
The Villain of Romance
A Korean coming-of-age romance about university ‘villains’ learning about love. Led by B1A4’s Baro (Reply 1994) as Kang Hee Jae, he desperately wants to appear cool, but secretly feels unworthy.
His girlfriend, Ban Yoo Jin, played by Ha Seung Ri (School 2017) is ‘savage’ and as he struggles with her behaviour, he gradually becomes an obsessive monster. Meanwhile, the highly intelligent Yoo Jin worries that she’ll live a lonely life, so continues to put Hee Jae through his paces.
June 9th
The Ingenious One
A Chinese drama featuring Chen Xiao (A Dream of Splendor) as Yun Xiang, a disciple of Yuntai seeking to exact revenge for his massacred family.
While travelling, Yun Xiang forms a group to assist in his investigation of past tragedies, unearthing even more appalling secrets. Can Yun Xiang identify the villains and bring justice to the land? Dig into this 36-episode series soon available to binge at will.
June 13
Oh! Youngsim
A Korean drama for K-Pop fans starring Donghae of Super Junior. As children Oh Youngsim, played by Song Ha Yoon (Fight for My Way) is followed around with heart eyes by Wang Kyung Tae played by Donghae (Panda and Hedgehog), but they lose contact when his family moves to the US.
Twenty years later, Oh Youngsim is a not-very-successful TV variety show producer, determined to turn around her record. She’s given a lifeline with a pilot for a new romance-themed entertainment show. All she needs is a hot, eligible bachelor as the lead.
CEO Mark Wang seems to fit the bill, but she later realizes he’s Wang Kyung Tae – all grown up… and exceptionally handsome. Based on the animated series Yeongsimi, and the comic series 14-year-old Yeongsimi by Bae Geum Teak.

Please Be My Family
A Chinese romance drama about two single parents who end up under one roof. Xie Bin Bin (Beautiful Reborn Flower) is work-obsessed CEO Song Hao Yu, out his depth in the child-rearing department. Zheng Qui Hong (Dine with Love) is Qi Si Le, with a daughter who needs a potentially life-saving operation. Would a marriage of convenience solve both of their problems?
June 16
F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers
F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers is a high school-set, enemies-to-lovers rom-com. This 16-episode Thai drama centres around a school for the elite reigned by four guys with an overabundance of privilege, money and good looks. So much so that they’re both feared and revered by those around them.
A girl who isn’t from within upsets their applecart, clueless about the rules and not interested in knowing them. Gorya, played by Tontawan ‘Tu’ Tantivejakul (10 Years Ticket) is just there to go to school as under the radar as possible. Until she clashes with the leader of F4, Thyme, played by Vachirawit ‘Bright’ Chivaaree (2gether, Astrophile) which begins a series of battles that eventually shows glimmers of romance. June 24th
Numbers
In Korean drama, Numbers, Kim Myung Soo (Angel’s Last Mission: Love and Meow, the Secret Boy) is Jang Ho Woo, an accountant at a big four accounting firm. He’s extremely intelligent but the only employee without a university degree, bringing numerous challenges.
Han Seung Jo played by Choi Jin Hyuk (Mr Queen, Devilish Joy) is a colleague with a perfect background and vice president father at the same firm. Ho Woo uncovers a web of systemic corruption and injustice that can only be stopped by dismantling the firm. Watch with Viki Pass Plus.
