I Am Not A Serial Killer (2016)

Mastemah (2022)

Release Date: November 6

This French horror movie went under the radar upon its release, which is a little bit of a shame as, while it’s no classic, it does offer a wild ride for those who sit down to watch it.

Synopsis:

“After a traumatic accident during a hypnosis session, Louise, a young psychiatrist, opens a new office in the middle of nowhere. When she starts analyzing Theo, a dark and mysterious man, people around her start to die… Could she be confronted to the Devil himself?” (source)

Birth/Rebirth (2023)

Release Date: November 10

Laura Moss’s directorial debut is a frightening reimagining of the Frankenstein legend. According to critics, this grisly, black-hearted gem is not for the squeamish!

Synopsis:

“A morgue technician successfully reanimates the body of a little girl, but to keep her breathing, she will need to harvest biological materials from pregnant women. When the girl’s mother, a nurse, discovers her baby alive, they enter into a deal that forces them both down a dark path of no return.” (source)

The Wretched (2019)

Release Date: November 13

Not as scary as it could have been perhaps but this dark tale about a teenager who finds himself living next door to a witch, is a smart supernatural chiller that is a creepier version of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.

Synopsis:

“A defiant teenage boy, struggling with his parents’ imminent divorce, faces off with a thousand-year-old witch, who is living beneath the skin of and posing as the woman next door.” (source)
