Movies and Shows coming to Shudder UK in November 2023

Opera (1987)

Boasting one of the most spectacular death scenes from Dario Argento’s long library of horror works, this entertaining suspense piece is a must-watch for fans of the Italian director.

Mastemah (2022)

This French horror movie went under the radar upon its release, which is a little bit of a shame as, while it’s no classic, it does offer a wild ride for those who sit down to watch it.

“After a traumatic accident during a hypnosis session, Louise, a young psychiatrist, opens a new office in the middle of nowhere. When she starts analyzing Theo, a dark and mysterious man, people around her start to die… Could she be confronted by the Devil himself?” (source)


Birth/Rebirth (2023)

Release Date: November 10

Laura Moss’s directorial debut is a frightening reimagining of the Frankenstein legend. According to critics, this grisly, black-hearted gem is not for the squeamish!

Synopsis:

“A morgue technician successfully reanimates the body of a little girl, but to keep her breathing, she will need to harvest biological materials from pregnant women. When the girl’s mother, a nurse, discovers her baby alive, they enter into a deal that forces them both down a dark path of no return.” (source)


Black Friday (2021)

Release Date: November 20

Black Friday sales are horrific enough thanks to crowded shopping malls, huge queues, and greedy consumers looking to trample you underfoot to get to the best bargains. But in this comedy horror, life is even more unbearable for one group of toy store employees as they have to defend themselves from parasitic shoppers!

Synopsis:

“On Thanksgiving night, a group of disgruntled toy store employees begrudgingly arrive for work to open the store at midnight for the busiest shopping day of the year. Meanwhile, an alien parasite crashes to Earth in a meteor. This group of misfits led by store manager Jonathan and longtime employee Ken soon find themselves battling against hordes of holiday shoppers who have been turned into monstrous creatures hellbent on a murderous rampage on Black Friday.” (source)
