There are a handful of new movies coming to Amazon Prime Video this November, including My Policeman, a story of forbidden love starring Harry Styles, and The People We Hate At The Wedding, a comedy that will be relatable to anybody who has been forced to endure a wedding that they didn’t want to go to!
Inspirational documentary Good Night Oppy also makes its debut this month and there are several other new titles scheduled for release that may be of interest if you’re a Prime subscriber.
Please note: This list is correct at the time of writing but as Amazon tends to drop titles onto their service without warning, you can expect plenty more movies and shows to land on Prime over the coming weeks.
El Presidente: Season 2
The first season of this show won an Emmy so there is hope that the second season, which further dramatises the corruption inherent within Fifa, is just as successful.
My Policeman (2022)
Homosexual love was strictly forbidden in 50’s Britain so in this historical movie, policeman Tom (Harry Styles) and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson) have to carry out their love affair in secret, even after Tom gets married to schoolteacher Marion (Emma Corrin). The characters go on quite an emotional journey but while their lives are deeply affected by the movie’s events, most critics were left unmoved after seeing this period tale.
Rio Ferdinand’s Tipping Point
In this 3-part docuseries, Ferdinand considers how race, sexuality, and mental health have become the focus of discussion in the world of football today.
From Tony Award-winning playwright and screenwriter Jez Butterworth comes this darkly comedic drama about the complexities of modern marriage. James Corden stars as a chef whose world explodes when he discovers some shocking secrets about his pregnant wife (Melia Kreiling). Will their relationship survive after these truths are revealed? Tune in to the show to learn more when it debuts this November.
A Grito Herido
In this Columbian Amazon Original, four friends and their singing teacher start a band together but a quarrel between them shatters their musical dreams. 7 years later they have the opportunity to resume their passion when they meet again at a wedding but to make things work, they have to overcome the differences that caused them to separate in the first place.
Good Night Oppy
The inspirational true story of Opportunity, the Exploration Rover that was sent to Mars for a 90-day mission but who somehow managed to exist on the Red Planet for a total of 15 years. This spirited documentary chronicles Oppy’s journey and the remarkable bond that was forged between the robot and her human team millions of miles away.
Autumn Beat (2022)
In this Italian musical drama, two brothers dream of breaking into the rap music world. They seem destined for success but their ambitions and love for the same woman threaten to test their bond.
La Caída (2022)
Karla Souza stars as Mariel, a veteran competitive diver who has one last chance at Olympic glory. But when a terrible truth emerges, she is faced with the question: can winning really be considered the ultimate dream?
The People We Hate at the Wedding (2022)
American siblings Alice (Kristen Bell) and Paul (Ben Platt), along with their mother (Allison Janney), are invited to the wedding of their estranged half-sister (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) in the English countryside. Over the course of the wedding week, skeletons are dragged out of the family closet as the dysfunctional family do their best to reconnect with one another.
Meet Cute (2022)
Gary (Pete Davidson) can’t believe his luck when he seemingly meets the perfect woman (Kelly Cucuo) at a New York bar. But little does he know that Sheila, the woman that he is now becoming enamoured with, has been using a time travel device – a tanning bed at the back of a nail salon – to return to this first meeting to perfect their flawed romance.
