There is a ton of great content coming to Netflix this month, with blockbuster movies, exciting new shows, and fascinating documentaries making their debut on the streaming service.

October 1
Crawlspace (2022)
Henry Thomas stars in this psychological thriller about a man who takes refuge in a cabin’s crawlspace after witnessing a brutal murder. As the killers get closer to his vicinity, this crawlspace will either become his battleground or his tomb!
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
The third in the series of horror movies based on the case files of real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. This time around, the famed duo take on the case of a murder suspect who is using demonic possession as his defence. Is he guilty or did the devil make him do it?

Beckham – Limited Series
Four-part documentary series about David Beckham’s life, from his working-class roots in East London to his career as a world-class footballer and life as a father-of-four.

Everything Now – Season 1
After being released from hospital after a lengthy battle with anorexia, 17-year-old student Mia is thrust back into the chaotic world of her sixth-form college. When she realizes her friends have acquired knowledge and experiences that she doesn’t have, she decides to play catch-up by creating a bucket list.
Sophie Wilde stars in this teen dramedy.
October 6
Ballerina (2023)
There’s not a lot of dancing going on in this Korean action drama about an ex-bodyguard who goes on a quest for revenge after failing to protect the life of her best friend.
Fair Play (2023)
Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich star in this thriller about thriving New York couple Luke and Emily whose relationship takes a sinister turn when Emily gets a promotion and Luke starts to feel emasculated.
October 11
Once Upon A Star (2023)
Paying homage to Thai cinema in the 1960s, this film follows the crew of a travelling Pharma-Cinema Unit who hit the road to bring the joy of live-dubbed 16mm movies to villages and small towns across Thailand.

Good Night World – Season 1
Japanese anime series about four members of a dysfunctional family who have no idea that they are all players in an online video game.
The Fall Of The House of Usher – Limited Series
Mike Flanagan’s latest (and possibly final) horror series for Netflix is loosely based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, including moments from the titular story as well as The Black Cat, The Premature Burial, and The Tell-Tale Heart.
October 13
The Conference (2023)
In this Swedish comedy horror, a team-building conference for municipal employees turns into a nightmare when a mysterious figure starts bumping off the participants.
October 17
I Woke Up A Vampire – Season 1
On her 13th birthday, Carmie’s life suddenly becomes a lot more complicated when she discovers she’s a Vampling: a half-human, half vampire, that is supposed to be a mythical legend. And you thought your experience of puberty was difficult!
The Devil On Trial (2023)
Using reenactments and home videos, this dark documentary recounts the infamous “Devil Made Me Do It” defence used in the 1981 murder trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson. Was he possessed by a demon? The case was taken up by Ed and Lorraine Warren, the famed paranormal investigators, who faced one of their greatest challenges with this investigation.
October 19
Bodies – Limited Series
Based on the graphic novel by Si Spencer, this part sci-fi, part-murder mystery series, focuses on four detectives from different time periods who all investigate the same crime. As their investigations converge, they reveal a sinister conspiracy that threatens the United Kingdom.
Neon – Season 1
Musical comedy centered around three teens who move from their small town in Florida to the city of Miami with the hopes of making it big in the world of reggaeton.
October 20
Creature – Limited Series
When tragedy befalls a reckless scientist in Istanbul, his student uses untested methods to finish his work – with devastating consequences. This Turkish mini-series is an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Old Dads (2023)
Bobby Cannavale, Bill Burr, and Bokeem Woodbine star in this new comedy about three middle-aged best friends who sell their company to a millennial and then find themselves increasingly out of their depth as they struggle to navigate a changing world of culture.
October 23
Apocalypse Clown (2023)
When a technological blackout plunges Ireland into anarchy and chaos, a group of failed washed-up clowns traverse the country for one last shot at their dreams. David Earl (Brian and Charles) stars in this apocalyptic comedy.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
James Gunn’s movie is an irreverent delight and it is far better than the 2016 comic book flick from David Ayer that also headlined the anarchic anti-heroes of the title. This time around, supervillains Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Peacemaker (John Cena), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and a collection of other nutty cons are tasked with tracking down an evil scientist by the cold head of Task Force X, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
October 26
Pluto – Season 1
Japanese anime series set in the distant future where sentient humanoid robots pass for humans. When seven of the world’s most advanced robots are destroyed, it’s up to Europol’s top detective to investigate these serial murders.
October 27
Pain Hustlers (2023)
Emily Blunt and Chris Evans star in this comedy crime drama about a woman who finds herself in the middle of a criminal conspiracy after helping a bankrupt pharmacy get back on its feet.
Sister Death (2023)
In this prequel to the Spanish horror movie Veronica, a young novice with supernatural powers arrives at a former convent turned school for girls, and unravels secrets that haunt its inhabitants.
