Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is the biggest title releasing on Disney+ this month but there is much more to look forward to, including the third season of Only Murders In The Building, comedy sequel Vacation Friends 2, and Ahsoka, the latest series set within the Star Wars universe.

August 2
Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 3 (2023)
You might want to have your handkerchief’s at the ready because Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 may be the last time we see our band of space heroes together.
This latest entry in the MCU sees our titular band of space heroes go up against the diabolical High Evolutionary who has a long-standing connection to Rocket that (just in case you haven’t seen the movie) we aren’t going to reveal here.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is certainly one of the most emotional movies in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe with one particular heartbreaking scene that may well make you cry. Don’t worry though – it’s not all doom and gloom, as there is plenty of comedy and action in the movie too, so while you might need a hanky, you will still be entertained by the Guardians’ latest (and possibly final) adventure.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (New Episodes)
Set during the High Republic era, this animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force and help citizens in need.
The series debuted in May but 6 new episodes will become available to watch this August, just in time for the kids’ summer break. These new episodes will follow the young Jedi as they continue to hone their Force powers and experience more adventures in the Star Wars galaxy.
More episodes will be released on Disney+ later on this year.
August 4
The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing & Vanderpump
Controversial Hollywood film producer Randall Emmett is the subject of this new documentary that examines the many shocking claims that have been made against him, which include race discrimination, workplace abuse, and the alleged mistreatment of his former fiance, Bravo megastar Lala Kent.
August 8
Only Murders in the Building – Season 3
Episodes 1 and 2
In this third season of the popular comedy whodunnit, Paul Rudd guest stars as a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short when he is murdered. It’s up to Charles, Oliver & Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short & Selena Gomez), along with Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), to go behind the scenes and crack the case!
August 9
Moving – Season 1
This South Korean sci-fi series tells the story of three superpowered teenagers who become close after revealing their extraordinary abilities to one another. Their relatively carefree life is suddenly threatened when a mysterious delivery driver named Frank starts murdering people with powers across Seoul.
August 11
Jagged Mind (2023)
This mix of sci-fi and toxic relationship drama focuses on a young woman named Billie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) who is plagued by blackouts and stuck in a series of time loops. Could they have something to do with her mysterious new girlfriend?

Coming-of-age comedy about a high school junior named Miguel who enters into a series of hilarious misadventures with his three best friends as he tries to get into his first-ever fight.

Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge
Bear and his guests will venture from the highest peaks of Scotland to unforgiving terrain in Wyoming for more ultimate, life-changing challenges and adventures. This season, Russell Brand, Bradley Cooper, Cynthia Erivo, and Tatiana Maslaney are among the celebrities who are encouraged to push their minds and bodies to the limit.
Star Wars: Ahsoka – Season 1
Episodes 1 & 2.
Fan-favorite character, Ahsoka Tano, who made her debut in Star Wars: The Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice, is the focus of this 8-episode drama set within that galaxy far, far away.
Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Haydn Christensen, and the late Ray Stevenson are among the cast of this epic new adventure which follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates a new threat in the Galaxy at a time after the Galactic Empire has been defeated.
August 25
Vacation Friends 2 (2023)
Picking up a few months after the end of the last movie, this sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Lil Rel Howery) and Emily (Yvonne Orji) inviting their uninhibited best friends Ron (John Cena) and Kyla (Meredith Hagner) to an all-expenses paid trip to a Caribbean resort. It’s not long before the couple’s best-laid plans descend into chaos when Kyla’s incarcerated father (Steve Buscemi) turns up on the island after being released from prison.
August 29
A Murder at the End of the World – Limited Series
Episodes 1 and 2
Formerly known as Retreat, this new mystery series stars Emma Corrin as Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth who finds herself thrown into a murder investigation when a guest at a secluded retreat is found dead. Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Brit Marling, Alice Braga, and Joan Chen are among the cast of this intriguing new whodunnit.
