When compared to other streaming services, Apple TV+ doesn’t release a great many titles on a month-by-month basis. That being said, the streamer does favour quality over quantity, so while October’s schedule isn’t inundated with new releases, there may be enough here to justify a subscription.
This month’s big highlight is Martin Scorsese’s latest movie, Killers of the Flower Moon. Also worthy of note (and perfect for the Halloween season) is the new documentary The Enfield Poltergeist which sheds light on a real-life haunting of a family in 1970’s London.
Check out this month’s highlights below and then keep scrolling to take a look at some of the other titles landing on Apple TV+ this October.
Please note: This list is correct at the time of writing but the Apple TV schedule may be subject to change.

Lessons in Chemistry – Season 1
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus (who wasn’t inspired by the chemistry textbooks you used at school), this new drama series is set in 1950s America and follows the life of Elizabeth Zott (Brie Larson) whose dream of being a scientist is obstructed by a patriarchal society that says women should be kept in the domestic sphere.
When Elizabeth is fired from her job, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show to teach a nation of housewives – and the men who are listening – about more than just recipes!

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
Based on David Grann’s non-fiction book detailing the FBI’s investigation into the Osage Indian murders in 1920s Oklahoma, this epic western crime drama from Martin Scorsese has a star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, and Lily Gladstone.
De Niro plays William Hale, a villainous cattle rancher who is suspected of organizing contract hits on members of the Osage tribe. DiCaprio stars as Ernest Burkhart, Hale’s nephew, who has conflicted loyalties due to his relationship with his powerful uncle and marriage to a native Osage woman (Gladstone).
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
“At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder.
Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.”
The Pigeon Tunnel (2023)
In this new documentary, Academy-Award-winning filmmaker Errol Morris pulls back the curtain on the life and career of former British spy David Cornwell, aka John le Carré, the author of such classic espionage novels as The Spy Who Came In From The Cold and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
The film spans six decades as Le Carré, who passed away in 2020, delivers his final and most candid interview, punctuated with rare archival footage and dramatized vignettes.

The Enfield Poltergeist (2023)
Throughout four episodes, this new documentary revisits the supposedly real-life haunting of a family in 1977 London that was later used as the basis for The Conjuring 2.
Featuring original audio recordings that were captured by paranormal investigator Maurice Grosse inside the house at the time of the ‘haunting,’ the doc includes a replica of the house with performers re-enacting what is heard on the tapes.
