This month on Apple TV+, the second seasons of The Afterparty and Foundation land on the streaming service and so too does a new movie about the Beanie Babies, one of the hottest toy crazes from the ’90s.

July 7
Duck & Goose – Season 2
Inspired by the New York Times bestselling books by Tad Hills, Duck & Goose is an animated series aimed at preschoolers about two best friends who don’t always see beak to beak! However, they learn how to bring out the best in each other when they start to appreciate one another’s differences.
July 12
The Afterparty – Season 2
Released in January 2022, the first season of this murder mystery comedy earned positive reviews from critics and it gained a lot of fans. Season 1 was set against the backdrop of a high school reunion but in Season 2 of this comedic show, a murder takes place at a wedding party. Who is the victim? The groom. Why was he killed? That’s what Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) needs to find out as she questions the guests to find out whodunnit!
Ken Jeong, Jon Cho, Elizabeth Perkins, and Jack Whitehall are among the large ensemble cast.
July 14
Foundation – Season 2
Based on the books by Isaac Asimov, Apple’s lavishly produced sci-fi saga is beautiful to look at but as we said in our Season 1 review, it’s also a bit of a bore.
Season 2 will hopefully be an improvement but we’ll know more when the Foundation returns to our screens on this date.
Here’s the official synopsis for this next season.
“More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in Foundation season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within.

July 21
Stephen Curry: Underrated
This new documentary tells the story of Stephen Curry’s rise to fame, from being an undersized basketball player at a small-town college to a four-time NBA champion. His remarkable story is told through a blend of cinéma vérité, archival footage, and on-camera interviews.
July 28
The Beanie Bubble (2023)
Did you have a Beanie Baby when you were growing up? These stuffed animal toys were extremely popular in the ’90s and if you have one in your attic, you could be sitting on a potential fortune as the rarest Beanies are worth thousands!
This new film stars Zach Galifianakis as Ty Warner, the billionaire toy manufacturer responsible for these soft plushies, and it details his collaboration with the three women who grew his initial idea into the biggest toy craze in history.

“Why did the world suddenly treat stuffed animals like gold? Ty Warner was a frustrated toy salesman until his collaboration with three women grew his masterstroke of an idea into the biggest toy craze in history. “The Beanie Bubble” is an inventive story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names didn’t appear on the heart-shaped tag.”
