Video Game Release Dates: The Latest Games Coming to PC and Consoles in September 2023

The summer is almost over but that doesn’t have to be bad news. The Autumn season is always a great time for game releases, as you can see from the list below.

September 6

Bethesda’s game has been a long time coming so if you have been looking forward to this one, you’ll be glad to know that it’s finally here. 

In this next-generation RPG, you can create any character you want and explore the galaxy with unparalleled freedom. There are over 1000 planets to discover, which incorporate bustling cities, wild landscapes, and dangerous bases.

September 14

Ad Infinitum 

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

Terrifying creatures invade your mind in this psychological horror game that puts you in the shoes of a German soldier who is haunted by the horrors of the Great War. 

During the game, you will explore your turn-of-the-century mansion to uncover family secrets. But don’t get too comfortable as certain noises or memorabilia will trigger a PTSD attack, forcing you back to the trenches where demonic creatures, deadly traps, and challenging puzzles await you. 

The Crew Motorfest

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch

This open-world driving experience will take you to the Hawaiian island of O’ahu.

With over 600 vehicles available at launch and a plethora of driving terrain to explore, including dense jungles, sandy beaches, volcanic slopes, and more, you will have plenty of freedom as you explore this tropical destination. 

September 15

Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster

Platforms: Switch

Unearth the mysteries of the skies above and the lost ocean below in these two timeless classics that have been remastered in HD exclusively for Nintendo’s console. 

Improved graphics and new gameplay features will enhance your experience of these games which combine RPG elements with card-based gameplay.

The first game tells the story of Kalas, who is seeking revenge for the death of his brother and grandfather, and the second title is a prequel, that centres around Sagai who is on a journey to clear his name after being framed. 

September 16

Lies Of P

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One

Take on the role of Pinocchio in this family-friendly adventure as he explores a new city and makes friends along the way.

We’re lying, of course, just like the wooden puppet did in the classic animated movie. This game isn’t for younger players (or gamers who don’t like a challenge) as this take on the beloved fairy tale is a challenging Souls-like title that takes you to the plagued city of Krat where all kinds of horrors lie in wait. 

September 18


Platforms: PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch

Based on the strategy board game of the same name, this tactical RPG takes you to the dark lands of Gloomhaven where you must lead a band of mercenaries through creepy caves, dreadful dungeons, and foreboding forests as you seek hidden treasures.

Enter this world alone or join up with others online and choose from one of 17 unique characters with their own abilities to master. 

September 19

Mortal Kombat 1

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch

The latest title in the brutal fighting game franchise introduces players to a reborn Mortal Kombat universe featuring reimagined versions of such iconic characters as Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, and Johnny Cage.

This rebooted entry in the MK series will include new game modes, finishing moves, and a revamped fighting system, so even if you’re an experienced player, you’ll find something to “test your might” here!

September 20

Party Animals

Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One

Fight with or against your friends both online and offline in this new physics-based party game that lets you choose from a variety of adorable animals. 

This new title includes multiple game modes with each requiring different strategies to win. The game might appear rather cutesy but as it arms players with a variety of weapons with which to take down other fuzzy creatures, it might actually be rather brutal! 

September 21


Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4

Eternights is part dating sim, part hack-and-slash RPG, set in a post-apocalyptic world where you must scavenge for supplies, explore dungeons, battle dangerous monsters, and go on dates!

The impending end of the world is bound to make for a great conversation starter as you try to find love in a world filled with mystery and danger!

Payday 3

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

This much-anticipated sequel requires you to step out of retirement and back into the shoes of the Payday Gang.

This time around, the crew leaves their Washington DC roots behind them and moves to New York City, which will bring new heists and challenges for you to get involved in.

How you play the game is up to you, so go in all guns blazing if you want to, or use stealth when you tackle each heist, be that alone or with other players.

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai

Experience the story of the legendary anime series of the same name in this exhilarating action RPG that combines stunning visuals that will remind you of the original manga. 

Take charge of Dai and the Disciples of Avan as they enter dungeons with ever-changing traps and monsters. Play through 100 room combinations and equip special items to augment your abilities according to your preferred playstyle.
