July 4

Synapse

Platforms: PS5, PSVR 2

From nDreams, the creators of Phantom: Covert Ops and Fracked, comes this new virtual reality title that puts players in the shoes of a mind-breaking operative who must wreak havoc on an enemy’s mind with his deadly weaponry and telekinetic powers.

Sounds a bit bonkers to us but if you have ever wanted to enter into another person’s mindscape, you now have the opportunity if you have a PS5 and virtual reality headset.

July 6

CRYMACHINA

Platforms: PC, Switch, PS5, PS4

What does it mean to be a “real human”? That’s the question posed in this post-apocalyptic action RPG where mechanical girls strive to become more human than machine.

Take control of one of 3 playable characters in this fast-paced title using a myriad of combat tactics and weapons to take down your foes.

GYLT

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

In this creepy new title, players take control of Sally, a little girl living in the melancholic town of Bethelwood. After she is chased by a group of bullies, Sally is dragged into a twisted version of her town where her worst fears are presented in a wicked and very real way.

This narrative adventure game is comprised of puzzle, stealth, and action elements, and is a guaranteed must-play if you’re looking for a cartoonish horror title with a few light scares.

July 12

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals

Platforms: PC, Switch, PS5, PS4

Set five years after the events of Oxenfree, Riley returns to the small coastal town of Camena to investigate mysterious radio signals.

What she finds is far more than she bargained for, according to this narrative game’s synopsis, so expect a few surprises during your playthrough.

July 14

Exoprimal

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

Capcom’s latest title is an online, team-based action game that pits exosuited players against prehistoric beasts.

Exosuits are categorized into one of three roles – assault, tank, and support – so there is plenty of room for tactics-led gameplay in this objective-based shooter.

July 20

Immortals Of Aveum

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

In this single-player first-person magic shooter, players take on the role of Jak as he joins an elite order of Battlemages to save a world that is on the edge of destruction.

Not many fps games rely on spellcasting so this title certainly has something new to offer any gamer who is jaded by the endless number of gun-based fps shooters.

July 21

Pikmin 4

Platforms: Switch

A new adventure blossoms for the adorable Pikmin as they help players tackle a variety of challenges on a strange, new planet.

Gameplay-wise, you should expect something similar to previous titles in this game series, although the addition of a canine companion that can smash things up and carry Pikmin on his back brings something new to this fourth entry.

July 27

The Expanse: A Telltale Series

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

Fans of the popular sci-fi show The Expanse will want to check out this prequel title that puts players in the shoes of Camina Drummer as she explores the galaxy on the scavenger ship Artemis.

As was the case in previous Telltale games, your choices matter as what you decide will either save your crew from harm or doom them all!

July 28

Disney Illusion Island

Platforms: Switch

Choose your favourite Disney character and run, swing, jump, and swim your way through a beautiful yet mysterious island that contains intriguing characters and secrets aplenty.

This gorgeous-looking game can be played solo or with up to 3 friends for local co-op so you might want to make some room on your couch if you have friends or family members to play alongside you.
