My Sweet Mobster – K-drama Episode 16 Recap, Review & Ending Explained

Happily Ever After

Episode 16 of My Sweet Mobster starts with Eun-ha getting a bad feeling after her necklace clasp breaks. She tries to call Ji-hwan, but he is unreachable. Meanwhile, Gye-jang calls Hyun-woo and informs him that Yang-hui is also on his way to syngeneic liquor.

The prosecutor accelerates but fails to get there in time. He arrives to find the gang going after Yang-hui while Ji-hwan bleeds on the floor. The police soon arrive to arrest everyone and Ji-hwan is rushed to the hospital.

Does Ji-hwan survive?

Ji-hwan undergoes surgery, but he goes into a coma because of his head injury. Eun-ha and the Thirsty Deer gang worry about whether Ji-hwan will regain consciousness. Thankfully, after a few days, he wakes up. As expected, everyone is overjoyed by the news.

What happens to Tae-pyeong and Yang-hui?

After Tae-pyeong is arrested, he refuses to cooperate until he hears Ji-hwan’s condition. After learning that his son woke up from the coma, he confesses everything to Hyu-woo and takes responsibility for his actions. When Ji-hwan finally visits him, he disowns him and therefore sets him free. Ji-hwan is relieved and also saddened by his relationship with his dad.  Meanwhile, Yang-hui is arraigned and charged. He ends up in jail.

What happens to the Thirsty Deer Team?

II-young and Mi-ho have their baby and make a happy family. It goes without saying that everyone supports them and clamours to be the child’s favourite uncle.

Jae-su and Man-ho try their luck in love, but they are terrible when it comes to dating. On the other hand, Hong-gi tries to win Ye-na over. It seems like a work in progress, but we get the feeling that Ye-na is slowly warming up to him.  Ji-hwan continues to take care of everyone and gives them resources to better their life.

Does Hyun-woo wrap up the case?

After wrapping up the case, Hyun-woo tries to move on from Eun-ha while still supporting her from afar. He is happy that she is doing well and is confident that Ji-hwan will be there for her. He remains hopeful that he will find love soon.

What happens to Eun-ha and Ji-hwan?

These two finally move to the next step of their relationship and get engaged. Eun-ha agrees to let the guys continue to live in the house and this gesture moves them. Our lovers continue to build their relationship and careers. Eun-ha becomes one of the top content creators in the country but still maintains her relationship despite her tight schedule. It helps that Ji-hwan is her manager, and he gets to spend more time with her.

Of course, the Thirsty Deer gang worries that he is prioritising his job as Eun-ha’s manager more than his job as their CEO but it is all good. After all, the ever-competent II-young is around to hold down the fort.

How does My Sweet Mobster End?

It ends on a cheerful note with Eun-ha taking the boys to help in one of her gigs. They look like a happy family.
