Meg 2: The Trench (2023)

It’s shark vs Statham in this larger-than-life follow-up to the ridiculous 2018 original. Ben Wheatley (Kill List, A Field In England) is at the helm of this sequel which once again sees the Stath (as he is known to his friends) go up against the colossal Megs that are patrolling the oceans. In truth, the movie really isn’t very good but if you can switch your brain off, you might get some pleasure from this cartoonish adventure movie.
Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)

After Christopher Robin leaves for college, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet get up to all kinds of charming adventures when they are left to fend for themselves in Hundred-Acre Wood.
Who are we kidding? The once-loveable characters embark on a bloody rampage after turning feral, much to the horror of any poor soul who gets in their way. Eeyore won’t be happy!
Haunted Mansion (2023)

The second movie based on the Disney theme park attraction is better than the Eddie Murphy-starring 2003 film. This one stars Rosario Dawson as Gabbie, a single mom who is alarmed to discover her newly bought mansion is inhabited by ghosts. After making this discovery, she hires a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts (Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish) to rid her home of the supernatural squatters.
The Boogeyman (2023)

Adapted from the Stephen King story of the same name, this chilling terror tale from Host director Rob Savage is centered around a teenage girl and her younger sister who find themselves plagued by the titular monster in the weeks following the tragic death of their mother.
Ballerina (2023)

There’s not a lot of dancing going on in this Korean action drama about an ex-bodyguard who goes on a quest for revenge after failing to protect the life of her best friend.
Fair Play (2023)

Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich star in this thriller about thriving New York couple Luke and Emily whose relationship takes a sinister turn when Emily gets a promotion and Luke starts to feel emasculated.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (2023)

Sometimes dead is better…but it would appear nobody has heeded those famous words from Stephen King’s novel because we now have another movie that is loosely based on his dark and disturbing work.
This one is a prequel focussing on a young Jud Crandall (Jackson White) who bands together with his friends to fight an ancient evil that has gripped his hometown of Ludlow, Maine.
Henry Thomas, Samantha Mathis, and David Duchovny are among the cast of this lackluster horror that should have been left buried.
The Caine Mutiny Court Martial (2023)

The late William Friedkin directed this legal drama based on Herman Wouk’s 1953 play of the same name. Released posthumously after the director’s death, this tells the story of a naval officer who stands trial for mutiny after taking command of a ship when its crew is threatened by an unstable captain.
Jason Clarke, Kiefer Sutherland, and Jake Lacy are among the cast of this latest retelling of the classic story.
Totally Killer (2023)

When the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer” returns 35 years after his first murder spree to claim another victim, 17-year-old Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) accidentally travels back in time to 1987, determined to stop the killer before he starts murdering people.
Olivia Holt, Randall Park, and Lochlyn Monroe also star in this offbeat comedy thriller.

Take a gore-filled journey through the grim underbelly of the forgotten 1980s in this next installment of the infamous found footage franchise. With segment titles like Dreamkill, No Wake, and God of Death, you can be sure of a terrifying time if you choose to watch the semi-realistic home movies that are presented in this sequel.
Zombie Town (2023)

Based on a 2012 book from Goosebumps author R.L. Stine, this family-friendly horror movie stars Chevy Chase and former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd in a story about a town that…you guessed it…gets overtaken by zombies. It’s up to two young people, Amy and Mike, to save their town before everybody becomes zombie food.
Renfield (2023)

Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, Dracula’s long-suffering henchman, in this spooky comedy that was a recent hit with audiences. Nicolas Cage stars as the preening Prince of Darkness who isn’t ready to let go of his formerly loyal servant.

Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones star in this true story drama about a smooth-talking lawyer who helps a funeral home owner save his business from a corporate behemoth after a handshake deal turns sour.
Polite Society (2023)

This entertaining action comedy follows martial artist-in-training Ria Khan who pulls off an ambitious wedding heist to save her older sister from getting married.
Cobweb (2023)

When a boy (Woody Norman) investigates the knocking sounds that are coming from inside the walls of his house, he unveils a dark secret that his parents have been hiding from him.
Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)

Based on David Grann’s non-fiction book detailing the FBI’s investigation into the Osage Indian murders in 1920s Oklahoma, this epic western crime drama from Martin Scorsese has a star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, and Lily Gladstone.
De Niro plays William Hale, a villainous cattle rancher who is suspected of organizing contract hits on members of the Osage tribe. DiCaprio stars as Ernest Burkhart, Hale’s nephew, who has conflicted loyalties due to his relationship with his powerful uncle and marriage to a native Osage woman (Gladstone).
Old Dads (2023)

Bobby Cannavale, Bill Burr, and Bokeem Woodbine star in this new comedy about three middle-aged best friends who sell their company to a millennial and then find themselves increasingly out of their depth as they struggle to navigate a changing world of culture.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (2023)

Lana Condor, Jane Fonda, Toni Collette, and Will Forte are among the voice cast of this charming animated movie about a 15-year-old girl named Ruby who, after learning she comes from a royal family of legendary sea krakens, discovers her destiny lies in the depths of the ocean.

Shazam: Fury Of The Gods (2023)

Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still trying to get to grips with their superpowers when a vengeful trio of ancient gods arrives on Earth in search of a magical stone that was taken from them years before.
This sequel to 2019’s Shazm isn’t quite as fresh and funny as that film but it’s still an entertaining comic book flick with lots of action-packed spectacle.
Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023)

Pain Hustlers (2023)
