Black Adam (2022)

Where To Watch: Sky Cinema/Now TV
5,000 years after he was imprisoned in a tomb, Black Adam is finally freed, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. Dwayne Johnson stars as the resurrected warrior in a fun superhero flick that has plenty of action and special effects spectacle but little in the way of subtlety!
Robots (2023)

Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video
This future-set comedy stars Shailene Woodley and Jack Whitehall as two scam artists who use android doubles of themselves to avoid the time constraints of dating. The Out-Laws (2023)
Release Date: July 7
Where To Watch: Netflix
What do you do when your in-laws are also the out-laws? That’s the premise of this comedy movie about a straitlaced bank manager named Owen Browning (Adam Devine) who thinks his future in-laws might just be the people who have recently robbed his bank.
Nina Dobrev stars as the love of Owen’s life, and Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin star as the in-laws who may be the infamous out-laws of the title.
Dune (2021)
Release Date: July 11
Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video
Dune is one of the biggest science-fiction movies of recent years although those expecting Star Wars-level thrills might be disappointed. This isn’t to say it’s not worth a watch as visually, the film is absolutely stunning. The story is good too although newcomers to the Duniverse might find it a little complicated and as dry as the desert setting of Arrakis.
A sequel is on the way at the end of this year.
Bird Box Barcelona
Release Date: July 14
Where To Watch: Netflix
Bird Box Barcelona is a spin-off to the 2018 Netflix movie Bird Box, which starred Sandra Bullock.
That previous title didn’t tell the story of a woman and the sacrifices she went through to feed the birds in her neighbourhood! It was a post-apocalyptic chiller about one woman’s battle to protect her family from a mysterious force that caused anybody who set their eyes on it to take their own lives.
This new film is set during the same timeline as the original movie and follows a man named Sebastian and his young daughter Anna as they try to survive the unseen threat that is taking over the lives of the people in their city.

Where To Watch: Sky Cinema/Now TV
Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Olivia Wilde star in this sprawling tale of excess set in Hollywood during the roaring ’20s when cinema was transitioning from silent to sound movies. Damien Chazzelle’s film traces the rise and fall of several ambitious dreamers during this era of unbridled decadence and depravity, including Robbie’s “it girl” Nellie LaRoy who uses more than her natural talents to rise to fame.
