My Policeman 2
My Policeman is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and if you have seen and enjoyed this film, it might be that you’re interested in a sequel.
But will there be a My Policeman 2? Or is there little chance of a follow-up film? Here’s what we know at the time of writing:

What is My Policeman about?
My Policeman is a British romantic drama based on Bethan Robert’s 2012 novel of the same name.
Set in 1950’s Brighton, the film stars Harry Styles as Tom, a young policeman who falls in love with local museum curator Patrick (David Dawson). Due to the legalities of the time which forbade homosexuality, the two are forced to carry out their relationship in secret.
Unfortunately, their relationship doesn’t stay hidden for very long as Marion (Emma Corrin), who is engaged to Tom, learns of their love affair after witnessing the two of them together.
Do Tom and Patrick continue their relationship? Do Tom and Marion get married? Will there be a My Policeman 2?
At the time of writing, a sequel to My Policeman has not been announced. While the film ends on an optimistic note which could suggest a sequel, it is unlikely that there will be a follow-up film. We think this because author Bethan Roberts didn’t craft a second story for her protagonists.
There isn’t really a need for another film anyway as My Policeman works as a standalone piece, despite the intriguing ending, so while some people may be keen to spend time with Tom, Patrick, and Marion again, we really shouldn’t expect a sequel to happen.
What could happen in My Policeman 2?

Tom decides to remain with Marion in My Policeman and he ends his relationship with Patrick.
But in scenes that take place in the present day, Patrick comes to live with the couple when Marion decides to care for him after he suffers a stroke. During this time, she learns more about the relationship Patrick had with Tom after reading Patrick’s diaries. She recognizes the depth of love the two had for one another and to give them a second chance at love, she decides to leave Tom.
In the final scene of the film, Tom takes Patrick’s hand and the two draw close to one another. The film then ends but we can assume the two of them were able to continue the relationship that started all those years ago. This would likely be the focus of the sequel but as we don’t think a follow-up film is likely to happen, you shouldn’t get your hopes up for a continuation of their story.
When could My Policeman 2 be released?
The release date would likely be sometime after Bethan Roberts has written a follow-up novel to My Policeman. But despite the success of her novel, she hasn’t come forward with news of a second book that continues the relationship between Tom and Patrick.
As such, we are unlikely to hear anything about a release date for My Policeman 2 but if anything changes, we will update this page with the relevant information.
