The original I Spit On Your Grave movie defines what was known back in the ’70s as a “video nasty.” It was extremely violent and garnered a lot of negative press because of it. However, it’s a really good revenge thriller directed by Meir Zarchi and starring Camille Keaton. The popularity of the movie led to a remake in 2010, and an underrated direct sequel to the first movie called I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu in 2019. But will there be an I Spit On Your Grave 3? Jennifer Hills is a fiction writer based in New York City, who seeks revenge on the four people who gang-raped her and left her for dead.
Will there be a sequel to I Spit On Your Grave?
No. I Spit On Your Grave 3 won’t happen for a very straightforward reason: the story has already been told. The sequel in 2019 wrapped up the story of Jennifer Hills, and there are no plans to proceed with anymore sequels.
What could I Spit On Your Grave 3 be about?
Spoilers ahead for the movies. Despite a sequel being very unlikely, any potential future follow up could focus on Jennifer’s daughter, Christy Mills, as she comes to terms with her mother’s death and faces a new attack from a group of rapists and murderers.
When could a sequel be released?
The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding I Spit On Your Grave 3, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is extremely low.
