Will there be a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2? Here’s what we know about a sequel:

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2

The ’80s was a great decade for coming-of-age comedies, and the best of the bunch was Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, which launched the career of Matthew Broderick, who played the titular lead role under the superb direction of John Hughes. But will there be a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2? Or do we have to settle for this one being a one-off comedy movie? Here’s what we know at the time of writing:

What is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off about?

A popular high school student called Ferris Bueller, decides to take a day off from school and goes to extreme lengths to cover it up, with the principal of his school going to great lengths to track him down.

Will there be a sequel to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off?

YES! Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is getting a sequel of sorts, and it’ll be called Sam and Victor’s Day Off. It won’t feature Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller, and instead will focus on certain supporting characters getting up to similar shenanigans.

What could Sam and Victor’s Day Off be about?

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2 will focus on the valets who took Cameron’s dad’s Ferrari for a joy ride through the streets of Chicago. The valets racked up a lot of miles on the car, which caused Cameron and Ferris to try to cover up their wrongdoing by putting the car in reverse, so this follow-up will find out what happened to cause all that damage.

When could Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2 be released?

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2 is officially in the works. However, since there is currently no official information on casting or when it will be filmed, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up on it arriving soon.

Of course, this is all speculation and if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update you!
