Currently streaming on Netflix is Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead, a zombie comedy based on the Japanese manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata.
The film focuses on a young man named Akira who is stuck in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. But rather than being horrified at his predicament, he is actually excited by his situation. We discuss the reason why below.

What is Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead about?
The main protagonist of the film is Akira, an office worker who hates his job and his meaningless life. But things take a positive turn for the young man when his city is invaded by the undead. Ironically, he starts to come alive when he’s forced to live among the shambling masses and this is because he realizes he no longer has to go to work.
He sees the zombie apocalypse as his means to live life to the fullest and so creates a bucket list of all the things he wants to do before he is bitten by a zombie. On his journey, he meets up with other survivors and together they do their best to stay alive while all hell breaks loose around them.
Will there be a sequel to Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead?
At the time of writing, a sequel to Zom 100 has not been announced. This isn’t surprising as the movie has only just been released, so Netflix might be monitoring audience figures and review scores before making a decision about a follow-up.
As Akira doesn’t complete his bucket list in the first film, there is certainly scope for a sequel. There might also be material in the original Manga that could be used for a second film.
But until official confirmation is given, for now, we will just have to wait and see.

What could happen in Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead 2?
The film would likely focus on Akira again, as well as his friends Kencho and Shizuka, as they embark on a road trip to pastures new. They each have their own goals they want to achieve before they meet their demise, so we can expect to see them make good on the promises they have made to themselves.
