Rebel Moon Part 2
Following his exit from the DC universe, Zack Snyder has embarked on a new journey, a 10-year project that began as a Star Wars story. Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire is the first instalment and stars Anthony Hopkins, Sofia Boutella, Doona Bae, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Ed Skrein and more. Part 1 is an exciting tale as rebels get together to take down the Motherworld but unfortunately ends on a cliffhanger.
Well, if you have seen it, like every other viewer, you may be looking for its sequel. But will there be a Rebel Moon Part 2? Or is there little chance of a follow-up film? Here’s what we know at the time of writing.

What is Rebel Moon Part 1 about?
Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire is set in a war-torn galaxy where the bloodthirsty kingdom of Motherworld plans to eradicate all rebels. In trying to protect themselves, the farming community of Veldt end up angering one of the admirals, Atticus Noble. Fortunately for them, pretending to be a farmer is the deserter, Kora who was the protege of none other than Balisarius, the leader of Motherworld.
Along with the farmer Gunnar, Kora sets out on a mission to appeal to the general turned rebel, Titus to protect Veldt from Noble. On their way, they end up hiring and gathering a wayward group of misfits as they all have a grudge against Motherworld.

Will there be a Rebel Moon Part 2?
At the time of writing, a sequel to Rebel Moon has been announced.
The Rebel Moon franchise, so far, is being produced by the Snyders and Netflix. Well, the OTT platform renews projects depending on their popularity, views and drop-off rates. But since they already have an agreement, luckily we are getting a Rebel Moon Part 2 no matter what, no unpredictable cancellations out here.
What could happen in Rebel Moon Part 2?
So far not much is known. The sequel is titled Rebel Moon Part 2: Scargiver and will be released on Netflix on April 19, 2024. Unfortunately, Charlie Hunnam is not coming back according to Snyder. As for the storyline, what we know for sure is that Noble is very much alive and will have to suppress his urge to kill Kora and simply capture her alive according to the orders of Balisarius.
The rebels start training the Veldt farmers. Kora and Gunnar get romantically involved. Someone looking like Darrian stands on a battlefield. However, JC, the military bot warns them that they cannot win. We also wonder if Princess Issa’s resurrection powers will play a part in the sequel.
