Lindsay Lohan is back and involved in yet another romcom on Netflix. While the film has got mixed reviews, you might still be wondering if there is going to be a sequel to this one – especially as Maddie and James look set for their next adventure. Here is everything we know about a sequel to Irish Wish:
What is Irish Wish about?
The story centers on Maddie, who is in love with writer Paul, whom she helps edit (see: write) his novels for him. The pair have good chemistry but Maddie is too scared to tell him how she feels. She laments her chance and misses out to her friend, Emma, who makes the move.
Fast forward several months and Emma is preparing to marry Paul, and the pair are ready for their happily-ever-after. Maddie meanwhile, begrudgingly shows up and laments her missed opportunity. On the way, she finds a Wishing Chair where a strange, magical lady shows and encourages her to make a wish. And that changes her fate forever.

Will there be an Irish Wish 2?
At the time of writing, a sequel to Irish Wish has not been announced.
Considering the end of the movie, the story is complete but that’s not to say it’s the end of the road for our characters. We could see Maddie and James together embarking on a globe-trotting adventure and coming up with their own woes while out on the road.
The film was also shot entirely in Ireland too and the film makes good use of its scenery to show off the breathtaking sights of the island. Would another one be set in the same country? Not necessarily.
What could happen in Irish Wish 2?
Not much is known about a sequel to Irish Wish 2 at the moment but we can always speculate! The movie completes Maddie’s character arc and wraps up loose ends but we could see Maddie and James off on another adventure.
Maybe it could be James this time that wishes for something a bit different in his life, via a mischievous return of Saint Brigid and turns his life upside down as a result.
Of course, this is all speculation as there has been no official news regarding a second movie. Keep an eye out for this section as we will update readers if there is any news.
