Brooklyn 45 is not a traditional horror film. It has all the elements you might expect from something in the horror genre, such as things that go bump in the night and various spectral nuisances, but there aren’t many scares in this period terror tale.
If you have seen and enjoyed Brooklyn 45, you might be interested in a sequel.
But will there be a second movie? Here’s what we know.
What is Brooklyn 45 about?
The movie is set in Brooklyn in 1945 and tells the story of a group of friends who gather together at an old army buddy’s house after his wife commits suicide. They think they are there to offer him comfort but in actuality, he has gathered them at his home to perform a seance. Why? Well, he wants to contact the spirit of his dead wife, of course.
Do they get through to the other side? We aren’t going to reveal that here but what we will say is this: Brooklyn 45 is a film that focuses more on the horrors of war and the terrible things people will do for their country than it is a supernatural scare-fest.
Will there be a sequel to Brooklyn 45?
A sequel to Brooklyn 45 has not yet been announced. There is a small chance that a follow-up movie could happen but as the director Ted Geoghegan tends not to make sequels to his movies (and as there is no need for a continuation of Brooklyn 45’s story) we don’t think a sequel will happen.
What could happen in Brooklyn 45?
The first movie comes to a definitive end so we expect the sequel (if it happens) will focus on a new set of characters who try to awaken the spirits of the dead. The sequel might even share the same setting as the first movie if a new owner moves in.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for a sequel though. And don’t try to summon a sequel via a seance. The chances of a second movie are slim but if we do hear news of a follow-up to Brooklyn 45, we will update this page with the relevant information.
