Level 1-1+

For those who’ve been following our guides from the beginning, you’ll know that Donkey Kong’ is still up to some nefarious shenanigans. Unlike the previous levels, these “Plus” levels only feature one phase instead of two. From now on, we’ll be gathering the red, blue, and yellow presents and guiding our key-wielding Mini-Mario Toys to the locked door.

Having said that, navigate Mario to the blue switch and activate it. Next, head to your left and descend the blue ladder on your left. Touch your Mini-Mario Toy to activate it. This toy can’t be grabbed. However, you can use it as a stool and it will follow, which can be both good and bad. Nonetheless, once you activate your toy, travel to the trash can and grab it.

Then, place the trash can in the same area I did. Ascend the blue ladder and place Mario in the same location I placed him in. Your Mini-Mario Toy will net you the red present. After that, navigate Mario to the second blue ladder on your right. Descend that ladder and grab one of the Shy Guys. Throw that Shy Guy at the other one to defeat them.

Now, use the yellow spring in that area to reach the red switch near the yellow spring shown above. Activate that red switch and navigate Mario toward the yellow spring. Your Mini-Mario Toy should grab the yellow present for you and use the yellow spring near that present to reach you. When it does use the yellow spring to reach the area shown below.

You’ll land on the grey platform above the yellow spring. Additionally, you’ll be near a layer of red blocks that are to the left of Mario. Ascend those with your Mini-Mario Toy. Next, activate the same blue switch I’m activating in the image above. Once activated, carefully descend to the area where the Shy Guy is. Grab him and toss him at the spikey area where the blue present is.

Jump on the Shy Guy when he’s walking below the blue present. After that, jump to your right and travel toward the invisible red structure shown on your right. You’ll land near the red switch. Activate that red switch. Now, use the yellow spring on your right to land on the grey platform above it. Once there, navigate to the blue switch on your left.

Activate the blue switch when your Mini-Mario Toy is next to you. Then, head for the locked door and let your toy unlock it for you. You’ll receive the above victory screen afterward.

Level 1-2+

For Level 1-2+, grab the hammer on your left and use it to defeat those oil enemies. Then, perform Mario’s Up-Throw to get rid of the hammer. Afterward, nab yourself the blue present and activate the blue switch. Next, ascend the first ladder on your right. Then, leap toward that hammer at the top that’s near the trash can. Use it to defeat those oil enemies near the Mini-Mario Toy.

Perform Mario’s Up-Throw to get rid of the hammer. Then, touch your Mini-Mario Toy and head over to that trash can on your right. Grab the trash can and place it next to the purple structure that has a yellow present hovering in its gap. Next, descend the right ladder, and head to your left once you’re on the ground level.

The Mini-Mario Toy will net you the yellow present. Swiftly activate the red switch head toward the yellow switch and stop. The Mini-Mario Toy will use the new red platform to grab you the red present. After it does that, return to your trash can’s location and grab it. After you do that, return to the area above. Use that yellow spring to propel Mario onto the grey platform that the red present was next to.

Once you’re on that platform, place your trash can in the same area I did in the image above. Now jump on that trash can and place Mario in the same position I did as shown above. This will convince your Mini-Mario Toy to use the trash can to reach your location. Once you’re both at the locked door’s location, wait for your toy to open the door for you. You’ll receive this screen afterward.

Level 1-3+

For Level 1-3+, navigate Mario to the right so he can activate his Mini-Mario Toy. Once activated, use the second yellow spring on your left to reach the yellow spring that’ll allow you to claim that blue present above it. Once you nab the blue present, use the yellow spring to the left of the blue present to reach the one above the blue present.

After you use that final yellow spring you’ll land on a conveyor belt that’s harboring the red present. Perform Mario’s Handstand Jump to reach the purple structure above that red present’s conveyor belt. Once you do, travel to your left and stop. You’re Mini-Mario Toy should net you the red present. Refer to the image below.

Now, use the yellow spring that’s to the left of the locked door’s platform to land on the door’s platform. Once there, jump to your right and use the yellow spring on the right to reach the grey platform that has a metal ladder on it. Ascend that ladder jump over the Shy Guy and grab that hammer. Use the hammer to defeat the Shy Guy and oil cans.

Perform Mario’s Up-Throw to get rid of your hammer. Now leap to your left and grab the yellow present. While you’re obtaining the yellow present, your Mini-Mario Toy will be resting at the locked door’s platform. As always head for that door’s platform and let your toy unlock the door for you. You’ll receive this victory screen afterward.

Level 1-4+

Level 1-4+ can be a bit tricky. First, travel to your Mini-Mario Toy’s location using the trash can and red block platforms on your right. Next, activate your Mini-Mario Toy and head to your left to activate the yellow switch nearby. Now, descend the ladder on your right. Once you do that, travel to your left and nab the red present. Use the trash cans to safely reach that red present’s area.

After that, reunite with your Mini-Mario Toy at the top where the yellow and red switches are. Once you do that, travel to your left and head for the area shown above. Instead of just Mario, the Mini-Mario Toy should be with him now. If so, travel to your right and head for those yellow blocks that formed after you activated the yellow switch.

After that, ascend the ladder that’s to the right of your trash cans and activate the red switch like I did. Now your screen should look like mine as shown above. If so, head to the same area where I have Mario placed above. Perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump and tilt your analog stick to your right to obtain the blue present.

While you do that, your Mini-Mario Toy will navigate through that invisible yellow square path, use the yellow spring to nab the yellow present, and land on the grey platform that’s to the right of the locked door. When that happens, descend the ladder next to that door and reunite with your Mini-Mario Toy at the locked door.

Once you do that, your Mini-Mario Toy will unlock that door for you. Great job!

Level 1-5+

To start, navigate Mario to his Mini-Mario Toy via the ladder shown above. Activate the toy and use the yellow spring on your left to land on a conveyor belt that’s above the one shown in the image above. Your Mini-Mario Toy will join you on that conveyor belt. When it does, crouch with Mario to obtain the red present.

Once you pass the purple structure’s gap, jump to land on a conveyor belt above you. Then, jump to your left to nab the yellow present that is hovering over a conveyor belt. Now descend to the lowest conveyor belt that’s harboring the blue present. When you and your Mini-Mario Toy are near it, crouch with Mario to obtain it.

Then, swiftly jump on top of your Mini-Mario Toy. Perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump to land on a conveyor belt that’s moving to your left. Crouch with Mario to get through that structure’s gap. Next, drop and land on a medium-sized conveyor belt that’s moving to the right. Land on the longer conveyor belt that’s moving in that direction.

Now you should be with your Mini-Mario Toy. Navigate Mario to your left and land on a standard ground-level structure near the locked door. Jump to your right to reach the locked door’s location. Let your Mini-Mario Toy unlock the door for you. You’ll receive this victory screen afterward.

Level 1-6+

Thankfully, this is the final level we must complete before we take on this “Plus Level’s” Donkey Kong boss. To start, get Mario in his Handstand Jump position like I did. Now, “Handstand Walk” toward the ladder on your right. Additionally, while you’re traversing toward that ladder, jump twice throughout your endeavor to nab the 1-Up Mushroom and red present on your right.

Be careful of those bricks though. Once you reach the ladder, ascend it and activate the Mini-Mario Toy on your right. Use the yellow spring on your left to ascend to the purple structure that’s to the right of that Shy Guy. Before you grab a trash can, nab the blue present that’s to the left of you. After that, grab a trash can and hurl it at a Shy Guy.

Once the Shy Guy’s gone head to the metal platform on your left with a ladder attachment. Make sure your Mini-Mario Toy drops at that location with you. When it does perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump and land in the area where I have him placed in the image above.

Your Mini-Mario Toy should be able to get you the final present. Keep heading right until your Mini-Mario Toy falls on that purple platform below. Once it does, head to the location shown in the image below. Use the left ladder to reach this area. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your valuable time

Once you’re in this location, perform that Handstand Walk technique we mentioned earlier to guide Mario and his toy to the locked door. Make sure to tilt your analog stick to the left a few times. You want Mario to act as that toy’s shield. When you’re near the locked door, let your toy unlock it for you. You’ll receive this victory screen afterward. Now, let’s give Donkey Kong the business!

Mario Toy Factory – Donkey Kong Boss Fight

Similar to the Mario Toy Company battle, Donkey Kong will be using the blue, red, and yellow switches to control which platforms appear and disappear from your screen. You must use a red, blue, or yellow trash can to defeat him.

Donkey Kong only has four lives, so you only need to throw four trash cans at him. Sometimes, Donkey Kong will pull the chain next to him. This will cause junk to fall from the screen. Get Mario in his Handstand Jump position to avoid the junk items. With this helpful insight and the trash cans at your side, you should be able to defeat him.

Like in previous fights, Donkey Kong will throw a tangent because you defeated him. He’ll grab his sack behind him and flee the Mario Toy Factory location. Mario will chase after him. This concludes the Mario Toy Factory portion of the game.
