Level 2-1+
We’re back in Donkey Kong’s jungle, but thankfully, this one’s one of the more simple puzzles. First, ascend the ladder on the left shown above. Next, turn left and activate your Mini-Mario Toy. After that descend the ladder and navigate to the long ladder on your right and ascend it. During this process, the Mini-Mario Toy will grab the red and yellow presents for you.
Reunite with your Mini-Mario Toy at the top where the two wooden platforms are located. Once you do, jump on the first, small wooden platform and perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump to grab those ropes above it. Ascend the third rope and turn to your right once you see the blue present. You’ll obtain that present by doing that.
If you’re like me, then your Mini-Mario Toy is probably insisting for you to “come back.” If so, return to your Mini-Mario Toy and use the wooden platforms shown above to reach the locked door’s location.
Be careful not to let Mario or his toy get hurt by those Piranha Plants’ fireball attacks, too. Once you reach the locked door’s location, let your Mini-Mario Toy unlock the door for you. You’ll receive this lovely victory screen afterward.
Level 2-2+
For Level 2-2+, activate the blue switch. Then, grab ahold of the first rope next to three invisible red squares. Navigate Mario to the blue present on the left. Before you claim that present, you want to make sure you defeat the three rhinos that’ll appear on the bottom floor level. Otherwise, they’ll annihilate your Mini-Mario Toy.
Use the ropes with fruit on them to defeat those rhinos like I’m doing above. After you defeat the rhino, keep moving to your left and nab that blue present. Next, drop Mario on those crumbling blocks and let him fall to the bottom floor level. When he does, perform his Handstand Jump to obtain the red present on your left.
After that, activate your Mini-Mario Toy on your right and head in that direction to obtain the yellow present. Once you do that, head for the yellow spring on the bottom floor level.
Use it to help Mario and his Mini-Mario Toy reach the locked door’s location. Once you’re near the locked door with your Mini-Mario Toy, let him unlock it for you. You’ll receive this victory screen afterward.
Level 2-3+
Level 2-3+ can be a little tricky, but we got you covered. First, perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump to reach the layer of crumbling blocks that are near the floating pair of crumbling blocks to the right of the blue present. Next, travel to your left to obtain the blue present. Then, perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump again to obtain the 1-Up Mushroom.
You’ll likely land on the crumbling blocks below or above the 1-Up Mushroom. Regardless of the one you’re on, turn right and perform Mario’s Double Handstand Jump to land on the second set of four crumbling blocks that are next to the four-pair set that is to the right of the Mini-Mario Toy. You’ll want to jump from that set to reach the red present.
For those confused, refer to the image above. As you can see, you’ll want to perform the Double Handstand Jump again to reach and obtain the red present like I’m doing. You’ll land on the crumbling blocks below the red present. When you do, continue jumping to your left until you reach your Mini-Mario Toy’s location.
Once you do, activate the Mini-Mario Toy. After that, descend the ladder below your Mini-Mario Toy until you’re near that barrel that’s to the right of the locked door. Grab that barrel head to the far left corner and pass a grassy structure. While doing that, your Mini-Mario Toy will obtain the yellow present for you.
Wait for your Mini-Mario Toy to drop in the same location mine is in. You’ll want to place the barrel in the same spot as my Mini-Mario Toys above. He’ll be using your barrel as a stool. Essentially, he’ll land on that grassy structure. When he does, head to the locked door with him. Let him unlock the door with his key. You’ll receive this victory screen afterward.
Level 2-4+
For this level, we recommend activating your Mini-Mario Toy after you obtain the yellow, red, and blue presents shown above. However, if you do activate it, be weary of that yellow bird and his yellow egg droppings. Nonetheless, use the ropes near the Mini-Mario Toy. Then, head to your left like I’m doing.
When you’re near the yellow present, jump to your left to obtain it. Simultaneously grab the rope on the left side, too. Now head to the long rope on that side. Once you’re using it navigate Mario to the blue present’s location. Jump to your left to obtain the blue present and grab that side’s rope. Then, jump to your right to grab the rope you were using beforehand.
Navigate Mario to the right and jump in that direction when you’re near the red present’s wooden platform. You’ll obtain the red present by doing this. Now, travel to your Mini-Mario Toy and activate it if you haven’t yet.
Whether activated or not, navigate Mario and his Mini-Mario Toy toward that locked door in the bottom left corner. Once there, let his Mini-Mario Toy unlock the door for you. You’ll receive this lovely victory screen in return. Well done!
Level 2-5+
Climb the red ladder and activate your Mini-Mario Toy. Then, activate the blue switch on your left. Invisible red squares will appear below you. Drop Mario and his Mini-Mario Toy in the location where the robot dinosaur is located. Make sure the robot dinosaur is not nearby when you drop those two there, though.
Now grab on the rope that’s near the grassy structure. Wait for the robot dinosaur to arrive near the rope near the peach. When it does, navigate Mario to that peach. The peach will drop on the robot dinosaur and defeat it. Once it’s gone, head to your left with that side’s rope and ascend it. As shown below you’ll obtain the red present by doing that.
Jump to your left and nab the red present. Additionally, you’ll want to land underneath the area where your Mini-Mario Toy is located. When you do, head toward the vertical and invisible three red squares that are near the robot dinosaur on the right. Your Mini-Mario Toy will regroup with you by those squares.
When it does, grab that first rope as soon as the robot dinosaur is underneath it. Like the previous dinosaur robot, the peach on this rope will defeat it. After it’s gone, head for the third rope on your right and ascend it until you’re near the yellow present. When you’re near it, jump to your right to obtain it.
Simultaneously, you’ll land on a wooden platform on that side. When you do, drop toward the area where the second robot dinosaur was located. Use the rope on your right that’s near the robot dinosaur in the image above. You’ll want to use the banana that’s dangling on it to defeat the robot dinosaur. Don’t be a hero and bet on luck like I did.
Anyway, when this third robot dinosaur vanishes, use the yellow spring I used on the bottom right corner to leap on the wooden platform my Mini-Mario Toy and I used. Once you’re on the wooden platform above it, head to the locked door on your left. Let your Mini-Mario Toy unlock it for you. You’ll receive this victory screen in return.
Level 2-6+
For Level 2-6+, players should navigate Mario to the yellow switch on their left and activate it. Then, head to your Mini-Mario Toy and activate it. As soon as you do, grab the rhino as I did and leap toward the red present on your left. After that, navigate Mario to the first red switch on your right and activate it.
Once activated, use the yellow spring on your right to reach the wooden platform with a yellow spring on it. After that, place Mario in the far right corner so he can wait for the Mini-Mario Toy. When your toy is near you, use the yellow spring on your left to reach the top floor level. Once there, travel to your left and nab the yellow present.
After you obtain the yellow present, place the rhino on that red platform it was hovering over. After that, head toward the second-floor level’s yellow spring. When you’re on the wooden platform with the yellow spring on it, descend the small wooden ladder. You should now be on the ground level. If so, navigate to your left and activate the first yellow switch in that area.
Your screen should mirror mine. If so, travel to your left until Mario’s aligned with the second yellow block on your left which is at the second-floor level. When you do that, your Mini-Mario Toy will nab you the blue present. After that, keep traveling left. Your Mini-Mario Toy will fall to the ground and will scurry next to you.
When he does, head to the first red switch on your right that’s next to the invisible red square. Activate the red switch. Now there should be a red block to your left. Wait for the rhino to walk on the red platform on the top floor level. When it does, activate the yellow switch. The rhino will fall on a yellow structure that’s attached to two yellow blocks.
When it’s on the yellow platform part of the structure, activate the same red switch again. Now your screen should mirror mine. If so, head to the highest floor level with your Mini-Mario Toy near you. When you’re by the red ladder, drop on the rhino when he’s near you. While on the rhino, jump to your right and activate the blue switch.
Your screen should mirror the image above. If so, head to the far right of your screen. This will persuade your Mini-Mario Toy to reunite with you on the second-floor level. Once you two are next to each other, head for the locked door. Let your Mini-Mario Toy open the door for you. You’ll be presented with this victory screen afterward. Congrats!
Donkey Kong Jungle Plus – Donkey Kong Boss Fight |
||
Much like the other Donkey Kong Jungle fight, Donkey Kong will be throwing dinosaur robots in your area. These little guys can move across the wooden platforms and ascend the ropes up and down like you can. Moreover, Donkey Kong’s platform can move from left and right, allowing him to dodge the fruits that will drop from your ropes when you pass them. Unfortunately, like last time, players must rely on their speed and precision to conquer Donkey Kong here. Having said that, navigate Mario to the ropes with fruit on them. You’ll want to do this swiftly as it’ll increase your odds of landing a hit on Donkey Kong. Moreover, try not to drop Mario in the spikey paths. Donkey Kong only has four lives, but he will ramp up the pace over time, like always. As long as you keep your eye on Donkey Kong and swiftly navigate Mario across the ropes with fruit on them, you’ll win! |
As with previous battles, Donkey Kong will throw a tangent on the screen. Then, he’ll grab his sack of Mini-Mario Toys behind him and flee the area. Mario will chase after him. This closes the Donkey Kong Jungle Plus segment of the game.
