Anna and Kazuhiko discuss Lemon, Chihaya, and Mitsuki’s issues with each other. Kazuhiko feels they should drop all discussion about that trio’s issues.
Anna shares her opinion on the situation, arguing that Lemon should’ve told Mistuki her true feelings about him a year ago. She feels Mitsuki and Chihaya aren’t proper people either. Nonetheless, Anna says she’d tell Lemon to go out with Mitsuki since Chihaya says she’d back off. At the same time, Anna knows Lemon wouldn’t do that.
Kazuhiko tells Anna he’s going for a walk and promises not to look for Lemon. The former goes for a walk and notices Lemon running. Kazuhiko and Lemon discuss Lemon’s concerns with Mitsuki and Chihaya. Kazuhiko shares some advice and Lemon understands where he’s coming from.

However, deep down, Lemon wishes Mitsuki fell in love with her instead. Eventually, Lemon cries and unloads her sorrows with Kazuhiko at her side.
The next morning everyone thanks Lemon’s grandmother for her hospitality. Koto confronts Kazuhiko after seeing Lemon in a good mood. He and Lemon chat briefly there. Then, Kazuhiko and Lemon head to a school at night. Lemon wants Kazuhiko to stand guard while she speaks with Mitsuki at the school’s park.
Mistuki and Lemon reminisce about their childhood together. Then, Lemon asks Mistuki to remember why Lemon wanted to attend Tsuwabuki High School. Mitsuki tells Lemon it’s because Lemon grew up in a family with lawyers and academics. He argues she didn’t want to feel inferior. Lemon confirms that’s the case.
However, Lemon says she also wanted to attend that high school to be with Mitsuki. Mistuki confirmed he wanted to attend that school to be with her too. He says Lemon’s popularity did something to him emotionally, however, Mitsuki was grateful that Lemon still came to him for support.
The two continue discussing things. Lemon and Mistuki look at the stars. She tells Mitsuki not to let go of Chihaya and tells her to stay with her. The Episode Review
The Lemon, Chihaya, and Mitsuki love triangle should be over now, and boy, was it an emotional roller coaster. A-1 Pictures Studios deserves kudos for bringing Lemon, Mitsuki, and other characters to life through their fabulous animation techniques.
We’d love to award similar praise to the series’s sound team. The background music and voice acting were top-notch, with some scenes feeling more impactful than others.
That aside, the episode gives Lemon and Mitsuki’s characters much-needed depth. Not only do we obtain details about their childhood together, but we receive intel about them as individuals. It adds more life to these characters. This gives viewers reasons to empathize with each party’s stance on this debacle.
While it’s unfortunate Lemon didn’t end up with the boy she loved, she at least gets to keep him as a close friend. If anything, this will help Lemon grow a wider online presence with fans.
Speaking of, the scene between Anna and Kazuhiko was downright hysterical. Hopefully, Kazuhiko will earn himself a victory by the time this series concludes. But all in all, this was a great chapter of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines.
