Must Love The Sea

Love Sea episode 10 starts with Tongrak inviting Mut to join him for a meeting with his mom. Tongrak is anxious since it has been a while since he talked to his mom. Mut assures him that he will be fine and encourages him to leave before he runs late.

After returning from the meeting, Tongrak is in high spirits since the meeting went well. His mom promised to handle their toxic dad and keep them away from the children. Mut listens to Tongrak as he narrates everything and warmly embraces him.

Does Mut confess his feelings for Tongrak again?

Mut gifts Tongrak the bracelet he had been working hard on. He confesses his feelings, but Tongrak pulls away and asks him to stop. He refuses to hear Mut’s confession, but the young man still preserves and speaks his truth. Unfortunately, Tongrak refuses to accept his heart and feelings. He insists he doesn’t need Mut’s love and wants them to sign another contract. This time, Mut says no and walks out while crying. He allows himself time to calm down before leaving the next day.

Before heading back to the island, he drops by Meena’s place and learns that when it comes to Tongrak; he grades his favourite things at an 8. It is also his way of saying he likes things and he sees the number 8 to symbolise infinity. Mut starts crying as he reminisces about the time Tongrak gave him an 8 out of 10 grade. However, it is too late since Tongrak has officially rejected him. He also drops by Vivi’s house and bids them goodbye.

What happens after Mut returns to the island?

Mut tries to forget Tongrak and gets a tattoo to honour their memory. Meanwhile, Tongrak starts experiencing writer’s block and regrets rejecting Mut. In truth, Tongrak is scared to admit he has fallen for the Island boy because he has never witnessed real love in his life. He is terrified of ending up like his parents and doesn’t know how to get past that fear.

Thankfully, our girl Vivi comes through with some great advice when Tongrak breaks down after almost losing Mut’s bracelet. She advises him to follow his heart and live life without overthinking. She encourages Tongrak to visit the island and get his man back.

Does Mut forgive Tongrak?

At first, Mut misunderstands why Tongrak is on the island. He thinks he is there to return the bracelet and talk about another contract. He asks Tongrak to keep his distance from him and refuses to get into a new deal. For the next few days, he ignores Tongrak and tries to move on and heal his heart. 

After trying and getting ignored multiple times, Tongrak switches strategies. He asks Palm to deliver a message to Mut to meet him in his hotel room.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Mut finds a recording of Tongrak confessing his feelings. He is elated to hear that Tongrak loves him and chases after him. He finds the gorgeous writer on the beach and asks him to confess his feelings again. Tongrak starts by apologising and Mut assures him that he is no longer mad at him. After Tongrak confesses he is scared but deeply in love with Mut, they have a steamy kiss and later end up in bed. 

How does Love Sea end?

The new couple decide that they will divide their time between the island and the city. During the offseason, Mut will live in the city and during the busy season, Tongrak will live on the island with Mut. The episode ends with Tongrak surprising Mut by buying a house on the island where they can live together. 

The Episode Review

Alas! All good things must come to an end. As the final credits roll, it’s fair to say this series has been a beautiful and moving journey for both Mut and Tongrak. Throughout the series, most of us could relate to Tongrak’s situation. Love can be traumatising, especially after what he witnessed between his parents. Thankfully, Mut came along and showed him what true love looks like. 

Although we have perfectly wrapped up the show, Mame is graciously giving us a special episode which drops on August 25th. We can’t wait to see how Tongrak and Mut are doing in this special.
