Episode 6
Episode 6 of Love Scout begins with a flashback to the fire that claimed Ji-yun’s father as he heroically tried to save someone else. The haunting memory resurfaces in Ji-yun’s dream, and as she whimpers in her sleep, Eun-ho gently holds her hand through the night. They wake with a start in the morning, rushing downstairs, and Ji-yun manages to leave unnoticed by Byeol.
Meanwhile, Ms. Cho, the skilled yet self-taught luxury brand repairer, arrives at Peoplez to try the new role that Ji-yun and Eun-ho had offered her. Her visit is encouraged by Ji-yun, who reassures her that the time she spent mastering her craft is invaluable, despite her lack of formal education.
Later, Ji-yun has dinner with Mi-ae and learns more about Eun-ho’s past. She finds out that he married right after college, only to divorce when Byeol was a year old. Since then, he has devoted himself entirely to raising his daughter, even taking paternal leave that led to his departure from a previous company.
The next day, Peoplez faces resistance from their client, who doubts Ms. Cho’s capabilities. Complicating matters, the client’s company faces allegations of selling a counterfeit bag due to a minor discrepancy in the logo. Ms. Cho rises to the occasion, meticulously examining the bag and confidently declaring it authentic. The company, then, releases an official statement.
Elsewhere, Su-hyeon’s son gets into a fight with a classmate who taunted him and Byeol about having “half families.” Byeol later meets Ji-yun at the bookstore, where Ji-yun shares her own story of being raised by a single father forming a deeper bond with her.
Later, when Byeol goes missing, Su-hyeon contacts Eun-ho, who immediately rushes out of the office. He finds her at the hospital with Ji-yun, where Byeol is being treated for a minor injury after chasing a kitten.
The situation at Peoplez becomes tense as experts continue to claim the bag is counterfeit, casting doubt on Ms. Cho’s credibility and highlighting her lack of formal qualifications. However, after an emotional conversation with her daughter, who realizes her mother’s true passion lies in luxury brand evaluation, Ms. Cho finds the strength to persevere. Finally, the manufacturer’s official appraisal certifies the bag as authentic, clearing Ms. Cho’s name and securing her new role instantly.
Later, it’s revealed that Jeong-hun’s father is an investor in Career Way, which adds another layer of intrigue as he meets with Hye-ji.
As the day winds down, Ji-yun reflects on Jeong-hun’s pointed question: What does Eun-ho mean to her? Unable to shake the thought, she hesitantly calls Eun-ho and asks about his couch, explaining how well she had slept on it before and requesting him to send the details about it.
The next day, Ji-yun surprises everyone with her polished appearance, as she has agreed to attend an event with Eun-ho using tickets gifted by Ms. Cho. The episode ends with the two meeting outside the venue, setting the stage for what promises to be a pivotal moment in their story.
