The Great Assistant’s Visit

Love Andante episode 7 picks up where we left off with Na-gyeong and Gyeong-ho, finding out that Jun-mo fainted after learning about Ju-hui’s mistake. Gyeong-ho tries to console Ju-hui while Na-gyeong talks to the doctors. Thankfully, Jun-mo’s health is stabilising and he will be fine. Na-gyeong opts to return in the afternoon to talk to him about her dad’s visit.

Meanwhile, to help Ju-hui, Ju-hyeong releases a dedication video for the new baby, asking people to be supportive. Everyone in the village is worried about the kid and hopes for the best. Thankfully, the newborn child is recovering well at the nearest local hospital and her mom is regaining her health, too. 

At the same time, Na-gyeong’s aunt calls to check on her and talk about her dad’s visit. Na-gyeong asks her aunt to keep her updated. Later, Na-gyeong asks Ju-hyeong to make her some spicy tteokbokki, and she is touched that he tried to help Ju-hui. She returns to the main office to talk to Jun-mo about her dad’s visit. They quickly plan a way to hide that she is living with Ju-hyeong and rope in J-hui to help. With that settled, Na-gyeong returns home to have dinner with Ju-hyeong.

The following day, Na-gyeong’s dad arrives to talk to the South Korean leaders about the recent misunderstanding. The South Korean delegates try to explain it was a mistake, and that they didn’t intend to reveal the details of the project. Still, it takes a while for both parties to agree. The tide changes after Ju-hyeong’s video goes viral and people from all over the world send their well-wishes. They also send gifts to the baby at the hospital. Ultimately, both parties decide to continue with the project as planned. 

Before leaving, Na-gyeong’s dad meets with Gyeong-ho. Unfortunately, Gyeong-ho slips up and mentions that Na-gyeong is dating someone. This piques the Great assistant’s curiosity, and he decides to visit the village himself. Na-gyeong tries to protect Ju-hyeong and takes the blame. However, Ju-hyeong learns about her dad’s arrival and rushes to meet the Great Assistant and take responsibility.

Even though Na-gyeong’s dad refuses to accept Ju-yeong, he doesn’t overreact. Ju-hyeong remains optimistic that he will win over the man and understand where Na-gyeong’s dad is coming from. 

Meanwhile, Gyeong-ho is surprised to see Ju-hui waiting for him near his house. She vents and starts crying over the fear of being kicked out of the project. Once again, Gyeong-ho starts to comfort her and Na-gyeong, and Ju-hyeong spots them. In the epilogue, we learn that Ju-hyeong asked the staff’s advice on how to make a great impression on his girlfriend’s dad. 

The Episode Review

We have one chapter left, but there has been little progress with the supporting characters. Ju-hui and Gyeong-ho like each other but have not confessed. Don’t even get started with the doctors. Even the relationship between Na-gyeong and Ju-hyeong feels too slow-paced.

As we approach the end, no one has tackled the major issue. What will happen when they wrap up the project? Will the residents meet again? Will the project help the two countries to reunite?
