Love Andante (2024) – K-drama Episode 6 Recap & Review

Storm is Coming!

Love Andante episode 6 picks up where we left off, with Na-gyeong asking for Gyeong-ho’s help to deal with the Chan Yeong situation. Even though he doesn’t want to be involved, Gyeong-ho agrees to help.

Meanwhile, Chan Yeong gets some sleep and updates the manager on the progress. He refuses to kidnap Ju-hyeong and asks the manager to reconsider. At the same time, Ju-hyeong scolds Chan Yeong and promises to handle the manager. He insists that Chan Yeong must leave that night. 

For the rest of the day, Ju-hyeong has a tough day trying to hide Chan Yeong. A few people drop by the house and find Ju-hyeong suspicious of how he is answering the door. Thankfully, no one thinks too much of it. Even Ju-hui notices that Gyeong-ho is acting strange, but ignores it. As for Na-gyeong, she tries to act as normal as possible and cautions Gyeong-ho from reporting the matter to the higher-ups. 

After a long day, nightfall rolls by, and the escape plan is set in motion. Thankfully, Chan Yeong is able to escape quietly and Ju-hyeong has a sobering phone call with the manager. He agrees to hold charity concerts after he leaves the Peace Village to appease the European investor.

After Gyeong-ho helps Chan Yeong escape, an alarm is heard and Ju-hyeong worries they have been caught. Luckily, the alarm is about the North Korean family that is about to have a baby. The mother is in labour and Jun-mo asks the residents to help while also summoning the doctors. The residents rush to the couple’s house and help get her to the clinic. Ju-hui excitedly records the event.

After being assured they were not caught, Ju-hyeong stops having a panic attack. However, he still falls sick. Na-gyeong opts to stay with him and watch over him. The other residents return home and wait for the mother to give birth. The next morning, the woman is still in labour and the doctors worry she won’t make it. Thankfully, she safely gives birth, but the baby is not in good condition. She was born prematurely and has trouble breathing. She also has jaundice, and the clinic is not well-equipped to treat her. As such, they call an ambulance and rush the baby to the nearest hospital.  

Unfortunately, because of sleep deprivation, Ju-hui unknowingly uploads the birth vlog online. The video immediately goes viral, and the media picks it up. Upon hearing that a North Korean resident has given birth in the village, the Great Assistant calls Gyeong-ho. He is disturbed by the fact that Gyeong-ho says nothing monumental happened. He threatens the bodyguard, and he spills the beans about the birth. In the end, the Great Assistant makes plans to visit the village. 

Meanwhile, Jun-mo faints after learning about Ju-hui’s mistake.  He is not the only troubled resident. Gyeong-ho and Na-gyeong worry about her dad’s visit. They decide to talk to Jun-mo only to find him indisposed given the Ju-hui mess. The episode ends with the residents learning that Ju-hui made a mistake and worrying about the consequences. As for Ju-hui, she profusely apologises , trying to explain it was unintentional.

The Episode Review

Gyeong-ho has every right to be concerned about Ju-hyeong and Na-gyeong’s relationship. If her dad finds out that he has been lying, it is over for him and his family. It makes sense that he wants to know what Na-gyeong is planning to do and is anxious about the Great Assistant’s visit.

Poor Ju-hui. She made a big mistake. How will she redeem herself and what will happen next? We only have two episodes left, so we can expect the stakes to be amplified even further. Will the video and Great Assistant’s visit ruin the chance for reunification? Will the blame be placed solely on Ju-hui’s head? We have so many questions, but we will have to wait until next week to find out the answers.
