The Forgotten Drunken Kiss

Love Andante episode 3 picks up where we left off with Gyeong-ho banging on Na-gyeong’s door. The loud knock startles Ju-hyeong, and he sneakily leaves the room. Gyeong-ho sees him from the window and asks why Na-gyeong overslept. Thankfully, Na-gyeong wakes up and Gyeong-ho gives Ju-hyeong a warning stare. 

On their daily run, Na-gyeong explains she drank a lot the previous night. Gyeong-ho scolds her, reminding her that she never remembers anything when she gets drunk. 

Elsewhere, the Peace Village officials continue looking after the residents. They have a meeting to discuss what they can plant in the upcoming season. By the looks of it, everyone is getting along fine. The villagers show up to help and Ju-hui continues to flirt with Gyeong-ho. 

Back at the house, Ju-hyeong tries to recall what happened the previous night. It turns out that he and Na-gyeong had a few drinks, played the piano and kissed. Although they didn’t have sex, they still slept in the same room. For a moment, Ju-hyeong worries about the kiss.

Unfortunately, Na-gyeong doesn’t remember it and resumes her cold nature. Ju-hyeong goes from worrying about the kiss to stressing over Na-gyeong not remembering it. 

As the days roll by, Gyeong-ho wonders why Na-gyeong is distracted. Ju-hyeong frets about his kissing skills being forgettable and Na-gyeong being closed off. However, Na-gyeong is stressed about her dad. After thinking about it, she sends her dad a text, assuring him she is fine and asking him to take better care of himself.

After losing enough sleep over the kiss, Ju-hyeong decides to confront Na-gyeong. She is surprised when he brings up the night in question and asks him to explain clearly. In response, Ju-hyeong kisses her and she slaps and kicks him in shock. She insists she doesn’t remember, and he asks her to calm down so they can talk it out. On the other hand, Gyeong-ho sees this interaction and Ju-hui secretly records it.

The couple walk into the house and Na-gyeong says it was a mistake. She insists that Ju-gyeong shouldn’t take responsibility for such a little thing. However, she later scolds herself for messing up. After their confrontation, things get awkward and Na-gyeong does her best to avoid Ju-gyeong.

Meanwhile, Gyeong-ho tries to get Ju-hui’s phone to delete the video. However, she refuses to give it to him. Gyeong-ho moves to grab it from her, but she trips and he saves her from falling. Na-gyeong finds them in this compromising situation and Ju-hui gets a chance to escape. Later, Gyeong-ho asks Na-gyeong to be careful. A video of her hitting a South Korean can be damning and jeopardize the project. She agrees to keep her cool moving forward.

As for Ju-hyeong, he continues to slack around. Finally, Jun-mo calls him out and asks him to help. Ju-hyeong uses every excuse to avoid hard labour, but he meets his match when he gets to Ju-hyeong’s station. She gives him hard work at the greenhouse and Gyeong-ho jokes that Ju-hyeong won’t live to see the next day. Na-gyeong drives a sleepy Ju-hyeong home

In the epilogue, we learn that Na-gyeong woke up in the middle of the drunken night, but still chose to sleep next to Ju-hyeong.  Ju-hyeong also did the same. 

The Episode Review

These two are so funny and frustrating at the same time. They obviously like each other, but don’t want to admit it or take the next step. They need to communicate better and stop avoiding the elephant in the room. It would be nice if Ju-hyeong helped out more at the greenhouse. It is unfair that he refuses to do his part. Everyone else is trying. He shouldn’t be too self-centred.

It looks like we will get at least three couples by the end of the show. The doctors are so adorable, hope we get to see more of them in the next episodes. There is also some chemistry between Ju-hui and Gyeong-ho. Let us hope the recording issue doesn’t get between them.
