The New Rules
The recap for Love Andante episode 2 picks up where we left off with Ju-hyeong and Na-gyeong confronting Jun-mo. He calms them down and tells a moving story about how much his beloved mom hopes to someday reunite with her dad, who is currently in North Korea. The story touches Ju-gyeong, Na-gyeong and Sang-su’s heart. The two artists agree to perform together, but we later learn that Jun-mo is lying. He emotionally manipulated them.
As the day passes, the managers set up the venue and cook. One by one, the residents arrive and bring more food with them. They start by introducing themselves, giving a short performance and having a grand time getting to know each other. Of course, Ju-hui subtly flirts with Gyeong-ho.
The two doctors at the village also try to get along and the North Korean couple announce they will have a baby in six months. Everyone is there except Ju-hyeong. Jun-mo gets worried as the performance time gets close and goes to call him. He finds Ju-hyeong dressed in a tuxedo but unwilling to hang out with the other residents. He threatens to pull out of the performance since he feels the villagers are not ready for his performance. He thinks they are already too excited, so Jun-mo promises to fix it.
After things calm down, Ju-hyeong finally comes out and asks Na-gyeong to play any song since a professional like him can keep up. He looks down on her talent but is pleasantly surprised when she holds her own. The other residents, led by Sang-su sing along and enjoy the performance. Soon after, there is a blackout and the residents hurdle around in fear. Ju-gyeong quickly grabs Na-gyeong’s hands, but when someone wonders if there is a war, he lets go and hides under his piano.
Thankfully, it turns out that a water deer accidentally tripped the main fuse and Jun-mo sends the residents home. Gyeong-ho walks Ju-hui home and is offended when she suggests that there might be something between Ju-gyeong and Na-gyeong. On the other hand, the doctors from the two countries walk home together.
The managers quickly head out to fix the issue. Na-gyeong returns to the house and uses one of Ju-gyeong’s expensive china cups to hold the candle. He freaks out and tries to take the candle. Unfortunately; he hurts his hand and Na-gyeong quickly administers first aid to him. Ju-gyeong is touched and praises Na-gyeong’s violin skills. He asks why she lied that playing the violin is just a hobby when she is a professional.
However, Na-gyeong states they are not close enough to discuss such intimate stories. Luckily, Jun-mo quickly fixes the light while Sang-su buries the water deer and helps the other workers clean up the venue.
The next morning, Ju-gyeong has a hard time using the bathroom after Na-gyeong takes forever to get ready. He is forced to run to the staff office to help himself in their restroom. He complains to Jun-mo, and the latter asks him to talk things over with Na-gyeong. Ju-gyeong continues to get frustrated as Na-gyeong fails to clean up after herself and uses his stuff.
He calls his manager threatening to leave the program, but the latter reminds him it is impossible. He is already stressed that he has to cancel and pay the price for Ju-gyeong’s contracts. He warns Ju-gyeong to behave and figure things out. Ju-gyeong decides to come up with a way to peacefully talk to her and air his grievances.
Meanwhile, Na-gyeong has a hard time after her aunt calls to inform her that her dad is sad and drinking heavily. He is triggered by the upcoming death anniversary of his late wife and Na-gyeong feels sad since she isn’t around to help him.
In the meantime, Ju-hui continues to collect videos of her experience in the village. She is aware she can’t post anything online but hopes to use the footage a year later. On the other hand, Gyeong-ho starts becoming more curious about her. He lags around her house during his morning run and she invites him to breakfast later.
Later, the residents meet up to discuss their survival plans in the village. The villagers are looking forward to being self-sufficient and working on the farm together. However, Ju-gyeong refuses to participate, insisting he can’t work at the farm since his hands are his livelihood. He walks out, leaving everyone frustrated with his attitude.
After Sang-su and his fellow workers return the piano inside his house, Ju-hyeong makes dinner for Na-gyeong. He waits until she has eaten and is in a good mood to bring up the new house rules. They agree that Na-gyeong will clean up after herself and Ju-gyeong will be in charge of the general cleaning. They also agree on how much time one can use the bathroom in the morning. The two continue making a list of rules as they drink. Na-gyeong teases Ju-gyeong for being too fancy, but agrees to most of his rules.
The following morning, Gyeong-ho checks in on Na-gyeong since she is late for their morning run. Ju-hyeong is woken by the noise and is surprised to find himself sleeping beside Na-gyeong. Did they sleep together?
The Episode Review
Well, that escalated quickly! Did these two get drunk and sleep together? Do they even remember what happened? They drank a lot the previous night and might have simply just shared a bed. However, if something else happened, who do you think would try to pretend they lost their memory? It is also possible that Ju-hyeong will quickly sneak out of the room and act awkwardly towards Na-gyeong. Also, do you think Gyeong-ho will sense what happened between the two?
