Stopover In Paradise
Episode 3 of The Secret Score Season 1 starts with the friends hanging around at night, and Maya accidentally touches Max’s violin case and sees a memory of Max and Connie kissing. The friends then realise that they have these drawings on their arms similar to the ones Maya had seen in the memory of Leo’s diary, and they only appear under the moonlight. Rafa appears and pretends to get close to Maya. He calls someone to report the key that Maya has hidden from him. Connie wears his jacket, and he overhears Rafa talking to someone on the phone about Maya and the key. The person wants Rafa to get the key, but he worries that Maya might suspect something, so he says he will use Connie to find out more.
Rosa and Catalina announce the loss of the metronome in the morning and tell the students about the museum being closed until they find the lost item. Tenoch starts to freak out since he is the one who took the item into the inner office, and he is unable to teleport it into the inner room to get it back. Meanwhile, Rafa and Max have a violin battle against the piano, which Max wins, but while he is distracted, Connie removes a feather from Max’s cowboy hat. After class, Andy and Nati accompany Tenoch to the attic to help him return the metronome, but Gael and Catalina take inventory of the items in the museum to figure out what else has been stolen. Tenoch freaks out again and teleports them to somewhere far away, next to a lake. Meanwhile, Maya tries to figure out the lock that the key opens.
After looking through all the possible places with locks, Maya has yet to find the lock the key opens, and she wants to look at the principal’s office. However, Max stops her since he worries Catalina will discover her snooping inside her office and suggests waiting for Andy. Meanwhile, Max shares a development in his powers. When he connects with someone, he can see their thoughts in a video of what they are doing when he thinks about them. He shows Maya a video of her trying to pop a pimple. He thinks of Andy and sees them playing in the water with Nati.
Meanwhile, Connie tries to understand her powers by touching and listening to the conversation of various people through their items. Rafa shows up and wants to know what is happening with Maya, but Connie lies to him this time. She says she does not trust Rafa because the only person he wants to help is himself, and since he is not forthcoming about what he is up to, she will not share her findings with him either. Paulina is still trying to figure out her powers.
Elsewhere, Maya and Max arrive at the lockers, and when she touches Leo’s, she sees someone empty his locker and takes away his bag. Although she cannot know the person’s face, she notes that the person is wearing a dragon bracelet. Meanwhile, Tenoch gets a message from Max saying Rafa is looking for him about rehearsals, and he has to get back to school quickly. However, he accidentally teleports alone, leaving Nati, Andy, and the metronome in paradise.
At school, Rafa notices that Tenoch’s shoes are wet, and he lies about going hiking. At Paradise, Andy turns into Rafa, and Nati starts kissing him. Maya arrives at the hall for practice with Max, and when she touches his violin case, he sees a young Max with his grandfather, who gifts him the violin and the cowboy hat. They start to practice, and while they play, Maya imagines Leo beside him, and she plays the piano perfectly. Max is overjoyed thinking that Maya can finally read a music score, but it just happens that she played from memory. Therefore, Max suggests playing something that Maya is familiar with for the project.
Twenty-four hours are over, and they must play the music score again to regain their powers. Tenoch knows another way to get into the attic, so Max and Maya accompany him. Maya is the first to go down the ladder, and Max notices Gael approaching, so he has to distract him while Tenoch hides the ladder. Maya initially struggles to read the music score, but she composes and gets everyone’s powers back. Connie listens in on Max using the feather and overhears them discussing the ladder and the museum. She wants to go spy on them to see what they are up to, but Catalina arrives, sees all the items that Connie has taken from other people, including her lipstick, and asks to converse with her.
Paulina leaves them alone and runs into Rafa. He uses Paulina’s feelings for him to get information about Maya and Max, so he follows Paulina to the secret entrance. Max tries to stop Rafa from using the ladder, but they fight. Max wants to go after Rafa, but Paulina holds his hand and stops him, and suddenly, Max obeys her commands. Inside the museum, Rafa runs into Maya as she gets out of the attic and notices that she is holding a silver pendant.
