Episode 6
Semavi is once again able to gain the trust and faith of his followers after the bullet fails to pierce his skin. Semavi says Allah has saved him, proving he’s watching over us, and they must cast out the devil (doubts) within themselves. In addition, Semavi asks his followers not to do any harm to the young boy who tries to kill him. Semavi says he was sent by god so the almighty can show them that he cares for his children.
There are some who see Semavi as God’s messenger, while others see him as a fraud. They say he’s collecting money illegally without a proper permit. They refuse to recognize that he’s helping the poor and needy by providing them with food and medication.
On the other hand, the cops are relentlessly questioning the boy, asking him if all that was a show. However, the boy keeps saying that he tried to kill Semavi, but the bullet never goes through. The boy believes Semavi is a Charlton and is committing blasphemy in the name of Allah.
Semavi orders his followers to help the poor and needy. In addition, they’re told to spread to different parts of the country and spread the word of Allah to abandon material wealth for contentment in their heart. After learning that Semavi’s father had reached out to him from the other side, a woman approaches Semavi.
The woman wants Semavi to help him so she can talk to his son and see if he’s at peace. However, Gokhan says he’s not a psychic but assures Nalan that her son is with Allah. Nalan is also the ex-wife of the inspector Kara, the cop who’s looking into Semavi and his claims. Kara is furious about this, and when he tries to confront Nalan, he’s kicked out of the house.
Gokhan decides to honor Allah’s words and marry Merve. Her father is worried, but Gokhan assures him that he’ll make sure that no harm comes to Merve. Gokhan’s mother also gives him her ring, asking him to put this on Merve’s finger on his wedding day.
While Gokhan is heading home, he’s forcefully taken to meet the same politician who came to visit him with an offer. Turgut, the politician, once again tries to convince Gokhan to put on a political front, and like before, Gokhan disagrees and leaves. Turgut threatens him and says Gokhan only has till his wedding day to make his decision.
Gokhan wants to have a simple wedding because he doesn’t want to refuse anyone from attending his wedding, a huge wedding hall in the book. But as the wedding is officiated, we learn a huge secret. In reality, Ali Camel and Merve have faked the shootout.
Gulcan overhears Ali talking to the shooter’s brother and tries to reveal the truth to Gokhan. Merve tries her best to stop Gulcan, saying she did it because Gokahn was doubting himself.
