Kidnap (Thai BL) – Season 1 Episode 9 Recap & Review

 The Favorite List 

Kidnap episode 9 starts with Min and Q waking up the following morning after their blissful night of passion. Min still has the energy to keep going, but Q is understandably tired. They start getting ready for the day and Q notices that Min is now using a new perfume.

Min bought it because he knows Q loves the scent. He is surprised that Min took his time to learn what he likes. They start playing a game about how much they know about each other. Q realises he doesn’t know much about Min and even Mhen is no help. The boy only teases him and says the only thing Min likes for sure is Q. For the rest of the day, Q makes it his mission to find the things Min likes. He starts taking notes as he spends his day with Min

First, they head to the gym where Min has a teaching lesson. After, they decide to have lunch and find out which food Min likes. Min has never taken the time to discover what he likes. He has always been busy working and taking care of his brother. He is not a picky guy and is down with anything as long as it is tasty. By the end of lunch, they discover that Min doesn’t like Mala.

Next, they go to the surf shop. They are surprised to find James and the production team there. The team is around to shoot their movie. James is excited to see Min again and they catch up. He and Third invite Min and Q to play extras.

As the shooting goes on, Q starts growing jealous of Min and Third’s friendship. James stirs the pot more when he mentions that Third was the one who introduced Min to the set as a stuntman. He tells Q that Third is Min’s type, and that Min used to follow Third, all over the set. Min finds Q’s jealousy cute but explains he is not into Third. He confesses Q is his type, and he enjoys being on the set without Third’s influence. 

After wrapping up the shoot, James and Third invite the couple to the afterparty. It is then that Min and Q learn that Third is married to the main actress in the film. While at the party, James introduces Min to Mangmoom, a casting director. She is interested in having Min on her next international project. She offers him her card, but Min is unsure.

James and Third advise him to at least try before turning down the opportunity. Q also advises him the same. Min confesses his doubt about his acting skills, but Q tells him to take a chance on himself. He offers to look after Mhen while Min follows his dream. After this, they start making out in the car.

For the next few days, Mhen and Q help Min with his audition tape. Min admits he always loved watching Spiderman and wants to be a good action star like him. A few days later, Mangmoom calls Min and offers him a role in her new series. 

The Episode Review

Why did Min hesitate to unbox the remaining stuff? Is he avoiding something? Maybe, he feels that unboxing the remaining box will mean that he has moved permanently. Maybe, he doesn’t want to mount the pictures of his parents in the new house just yet? We will have to watch the next episode to find out.

This episode finally gave us a chance to see MinQ in their happy dating era. No guns and fights, just them enjoying each other’s company and being all sweet. Like James, we felt single but we love third-wheeling these two. Hopefully, they will stay like this just a bit longer. Happiness looks good on them.
