Kidnap (Thai BL) – Season 1 Episode 3 Recap & Review

Secret Deal

Kidnap episode 3 picks up where we left off, with Q returning to Min’s house. This time, he comes willingly, even though he still has a heavy heart. He suggests that Min gets money by asking his dad for ransom money. Q says that Min is already in a tough spot if he speaks up. However, Min turns down Q’s request to con Khacha and solve his financial situation.

The next morning, Min wakes up alone in bed and finds Q and Mhen enjoying pizza downstairs. He is also surprised to see James. It turns out James knew that Min didn’t kill Q.

The proof photo was a dead giveaway, plus he knows Min well enough. They agree to return the money to the client and explain everything. However, the problem is Min already used the money to pay his debts. Still, he assures James he will get the money and refund the client. Before leaving, James admits he overheard Min and Q’s conversation and asks Min to reconsider Q’s offer.

After James leaves, Min asks Q to be more careful and tries to show him he can’t trust anyone. To prove his point, he puts Q in a headlock. However, Q remains stubborn, saying Min is unlikely to hurt a fly, much less him.

For the next few days, Min takes care of Q, helping him every time he sleepwalks and sleep talks. In the end, Min has a hard time sleeping and makes a mistake at work. Sadly, he is forced out of the job since the director feels he is not well-prepared. Still, Min tries to keep a happy facade, assuring Mhen that he is okay.

At the same time, Q becomes more convinced of Min’s good heart. He occasionally teases and flirts with him. Q also takes up looking after Mhen when Min is gone and the two boys get close. Even though Q is aware that Min is struggling, he doesn’t push him to accept his offer.

Min insists he won’t do it since he doesn’t understand why Q wants to con his dad. Q says he wants to take revenge on his dad. He promises to explain to Khacha everything later and clear Min’s name, but the latter still refuses.

After losing his job. Min tries to get a loan from his usual loan shark. This time, he is kicked out, but the loan shark gives him Yada’s details. Min returns to the club he once visited with James and tries to forcefully sneak in. Suea and Yada see him and bring the boy inside. Min asks for a loan, but Yada has a better idea.

She offers Min 50k baht for every punch he lands on her bodyguard. In no time, Min secures 150k by hitting and defeating the bodyguard. Yada offers him a bodyguard position and asks him to consider the job and return when he is ready. Min takes the money and calls James, asking him to set the meeting with the client.

The client agrees to meet the next day but demands that the boys bring Q. Min refuses this demand and James says he will figure something else out. Q overhears the call and asks Min to take him. However, Min reminds him that the client wants him dead, and it is too risky to meet with him.

The next day, Min and James leave to meet the client and Q follows them. The client turns out to be the father of the young man Khacha and his men arrested concerning the warehouse drugs. The father is adamant that his son is innocent and is being framed.

It turns out he begged Khacha to free his son, to no avail. On the day of the arrest, he visited Khacha and saw Yada’s visit, too. The man assumed that Khacha was in cahoots with the criminals to frame his son and came up with a revenge plan.

He sets out to kill Q, but the latter confronts him. Q reasons with the man and asks if his death will bring him and his son peace. He also points out that Khacha never took a bribe and is most likely investigating the case further.

After hearing Q’s words, the man is overwhelmed with guilt and hopelessness. He tries to kill himself, but Q stops him. Finally, after everything is solved, Min takes Q’s home.

He confronts Q for risking his life, but also acknowledges the man’s bravery. Q says he has been in such situations too many times and knows how to handle them. Min starts to wonder how many times Q’s life has been threatened.

As they talk, Q starts having a panic attack as he recalls a past attempt on his life. Min tries to comfort him and calm him down. The episode ends with him embracing Q and promising to get the ransom from Khacha.

The Episode Review

Whatever happened to Q when he was young truly affected him deeply. It might be related to the death of his mom, as well as the first time someone tried to kill him. It is probably the reason he is angry with his dad. Watching him have a panic attack was so sad. Thankfully, Min was there to help and calm him down.

By this point, they are no longer a victim and his kidnapper. They are now allies and it is evident they are attracted to each other.

With Min finally accepting Q’s proposition, things will get even more dicey. Khacha will probably see through their ruse, but what will happen next? How will Min pull off the ransom demand and will everything go smoothly?
