Kagurabachi: Chapter 30
Kagurabachi is the latest Shonen Jump offering with much potential and a decent following amongst the publisher’s fanbase. It’s fairly new having just released in late September of 2023, but offers a compelling revenge tale centered around the action and fantasy genre.
Currently, in the Sorcery and Enchanted Blade story arc, our tale follows Chihiro. He’s a young swordsmith who spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father, Kunishige. One day, a group of evil sorcerers called the Hishaku arrive, murder Kunishige, and steal his enchanted blades, leaving Chihiro to wallow in misery.
Now older and experienced, Chihiro teams up with his father’s old companion Shiba, and seeks revenge against the Hishaku.

What Happened In Chapter 29?
In Kagurabachi Chapter 29, we witness two members (one man and one female) of the Kamunabi bidding team discussing something at the Rakuzaichi Auction Event. The female Kamunabi member is uneasy because people are being sold at the event. The male Kamunabi member tells his comrade to toughen up.
Also, he suggests by retrieving the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade, they can save millions of lives. Then, we return to following Chihiro. He is still fighting Kyora’s henchmen. Simultaneously, Hiyuki is on the battlefield. After a brief flashback sequence featuring Chihiro and Shiba, we follow Hiyuki and Chihiro fighting the Rakuzaichi Event’s guards.
After defeating several guards, Chihiro and Hiyuki confront each other. Meanwhile, Chihiro spots Tafuku. He learns Tafuku activated his sealed-space technique to hide himself, Hiyuki, and Chihiro away from the guards. While in this space, Hiyuki tells Chihiro that she wants to protect Chihiro since Enten is in the enemy’s hands.
However, if Chihiro doesn’t come to Hiyuki’s side peacefully, she’ll arrest him. Also, she asks Chihiro to tell her why he gave Enten over to Kyora. Chihiro explains he needed to discover where the Sazanami’s storehouse was located. Chihiro and Hiyuki discuss the Kamunabi’s plans and the human-centric prizes sold at this event.
After more chatter, Hiyuki turns to Tafuku, telling him she wants to destroy the Enchanted Blades, Chihiro, and the Rakuzaichi guards. Then, Tafuku asks Chihiro if he wants to obtain the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade. Tafuku says Hiyuki plans to decimate Chihiro if he retrieves the blades. Moreover, Tafuku says if Chihiro dies, the Kamunabi officials won’t yell at him.
Chihiro’s okay with that since he knows Tafuku and Hiyuki are willing to work alongside him. Tafuku deactivates his technique and the Rakuzaichi guards charge at Chihiro. Fortunately, Hiyuki stops the guards and the chapter closes with Chihiro fleeing the battlefield.
