Kagurabachi Chapter 29 Release Date, Time & Where To Read

Kagurabachi: Chapter 29

Kagurabachi is the latest Shonen Jump offering with much potential and a decent following amongst the publisher’s fanbase. It’s fairly new having just released in late September of 2023, but offers a compelling revenge tale centered around the action and fantasy genre.

Currently, in the Sorcery and Enchanted Blade story arc, our tale follows Chihiro. He’s a young swordsmith who spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father, Kunishige. One day, a group of evil sorcerers called the Hishaku arrive, murder Kunishige, and steal his enchanted blades, leaving Chihiro to wallow in misery.

Now older and experienced, Chihiro teams up with his father’s old companion Shiba, and seeks revenge against the Hishaku.

How Many Chapters Will Kagurabachi Have?

Since the manga’s in its early stages, it likely won’t be ending anytime soon. It’s safe to assume this one will be around for a long time. What Happened In Chapter 28?

In Kagurabachi Chapter 28, we start matters off with a flashback. In it, Chihiro struggles with his recon duties since his target exists within a subspace-like area. Shiba questions Chihiro about his sentiment, but Chihiro ensures Shiba that the vault he’s scouting in doesn’t exist in the real world. He says it extends infinitely above and below.

Shiba says if it existed in this realm, he’d head there and snag the Enchanted Blade. Chihiro calls out to Hakuri. He asks Hakuri if the Sazanami Clan’s leadership was ever passed down. Hakuri shares some details about it concerning his father and grandfather. Chihiro wonders how the Sazanami Family pass along their family’s access to the storehouse.

Hakuri recalls a ceremonial event taking place at the family’s underground cemetery. Hakuri doesn’t know the full details regarding the said ceremony though. Shiba believes they must find a way to host a ceremony and transfer access to the storehouse to Hakuri. Chihiro contemplates their situation further. Then, we enter a time-skip involving Chihiro and Shiba.

Chihiro informs Shiba about a door he saw during his vault-themed endeavors. Chihiro finds the door strange because it appears out of a case, much like other used weapons in the vault. Shiba wonders if people were using the door to enter the outside world. Chihiro argues against that claim. He says he’s seen people leave and enter the storehouse without using this specific door.

Shiba notices how this door contradicts what Kyora said about the storehouse’s functions. Chihiro wonders if the door functions like an emergency door, allowing folks to enter and escape the area with its items. Chihiro calls out to Hakuri again. He shows him a drawing of the door he and Shiba have been discussing.

Although Hakuri is unsure about the door at first, he recognizes the door’s crest. We return to the present timeline, minutes after Kyora welcomed the Rakuzaichi Auction Event’s guests. Kyora hears a strange noise in the distance and wonders if Chihiro’s arrived. He wonders if he’s discovered the intricacies surrounding the storehouse’s emergency access door.

Then, we receive the name of the Sazanami Clan’s Underground Cemetery “The Naginojoen.” Although most guests are concerned about Chihiro, Kyora contemplates how satisfied he is with Chihiro’s arrival. Then, we cut away to Hinao, Char, Hakuri, and Shiba. Shiba asks Hinao to look after Yuu. He turns to Hakuri and asks him if he’s ready to proceed with their plan.

Then, we cut to Chihiro combatting several guards at the Rakuzaichi Auction Event. After acknowledging some guards’ skills, the chapter closes with Hiyuki confronting Chihiro at the event.
