Kagurabachi: Chapter 24
Kagurabachi is the latest Shonen Jump offering with much potential and a decent following amongst the publisher’s fanbase. It’s fairly new having just released in late September of 2023, but offers a compelling revenge tale centered around the action and fantasy genre.
Currently, in the Sorcery and Enchanted Blade story arc, our tale follows Chihiro. He’s a young swordsmith who spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father, Kunishige. One day, a group of evil sorcerers called the Hishaku arrive, murder Kunishige, and steal his enchanted blades, leaving Chihiro to wallow in misery.
Now older and experienced, Chihiro teams up with his father’s old companion Shiba, and seeks revenge against the Hishaku.

How Many Chapters Will Kagurabachi Have?
Since the manga’s in its early stages, it likely won’t be ending anytime soon. It’s safe to assume this one will be around for a long time. What Happened In Chapter 23?
In Kagurabachi Chapter 23, Kyora promises Chihiro and Shiba that despite transforming, he doesn’t want to engage in any violent altercations with the two. Chihiro orders Kyora to tell him where the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade is located. Kyora recognizes Chihiro’s blade’s pattern and realizes he’s Rokuhira’s son.
We cut to a flashback involving Shiba, Chihiro, and Hakuri. Hakuri finds Chihiro and Shiba’s home infiltration scheme interesting. However, he warns the two to be wary of the Tou, the Sazanami Clan’s Special Defense Corp. Hakuri says he and his siblings revere them, but they’re beyond his reach.
Nonetheless, we return to following Chihiro, Kyora, and Shiba. Kyora says if they want the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade they should bid for it. Chihiro spots the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade and tries grabbing it. However, Kyora tells him it’s a preview and that he’s using his sorcery to project images of items in his storehouse.
Chihiro draws his blade and points it toward Kyora. He demands him to hand over the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade. Kyora jokes about Chihiro killing him and says the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade could be inside his body. Additionally, Kyora says the storehouse itself doesn’t exist and acts as a subspace he created via magic.
Kyora says only direct descendants of the Sazanami Family have authority over this storehouse. He says everything that enters and exists in that space is controlled by him. If he perishes, everything in that space will vanish. Moreover, he threatens to harm the residents within his storehouse if Chihiro or Shiba were to harm him.
Based on this intel, Shiba wonders if they can rely on Hakuri as a trump card. Shiba tells Chihiro they should leave. Suddenly, three members of the Tou arrive. Kyora asks one of them where Soya (another Tou member) is. One of the Tou says Soya’s looking for Hakuri. Before we witness the two sides clash, we cut to Hakuri.
He’s running an errand for Hinao because he wants to be useful. The chapter closes with Hakuri bumping into his older brother who we can assume is Soya, the fourth member of the Tou.
