Kagurabachi Chapter 20 Release Date, Time & Where To Read

Kagurabachi: Chapter 20

Kagurabachi is the latest Shonen Jump offering with much potential and a decent following amongst the publisher’s fanbase. It’s fairly new having just released in late September of 2023, but offers a compelling revenge tale centered around the action and fantasy genre.

Currently, in the Sorcery and Enchanted Blade story arc, our tale follows Chihiro. He’s a young swordsmith who spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father, Kunishige. One day, a group of evil sorcerers called the Hishaku arrive, murder Kunishige, and steal his enchanted blades, leaving Chihiro to wallow in misery.

Now older and experienced, Chihiro teams up with his father’s old companion Shiba, and seeks revenge against the Hishaku.

If you’ve been following this manga, you may be curious to know when the next chapter will be released. Well, wonder no more!

Kagurabachi can be read at several different places online. Viz Media is available for those in the US and Canada, while Manga Plus has the right to drop new chapters. However, it will also be available to read on the Shonen Jump application.

Kagurabachi: Chapter 20 Release Date

Kagurabachi: Chapter 20 will be released on Sunday 11th February at approximately 3pm (GMT) / 8am (PT) / 11am (ET). Of course, it’s dependent on how quickly these chapters are uploaded. Expect this to be pretty close to the release time though.

All other chapters are available to read on the above websites.

How Many Chapters Will Kagurabachi Have?

Since the manga’s in its early stages, it likely won’t be ending anytime soon. It’s safe to assume this one will be around for a long time. However, it depends on how popular this one remains, and what lies ahead for Chihiro and his comrades during their quest for the Hishaku and his father’s enchanted blades.

What Happened In Chapter 19?

In Kagurabachi Chapter 19, we see a boy sitting at a cafe and recalling a memory of his pet grasshopper. Then, he spots Sojo and Chihiro fighting. We can insinuate that this event took place during Chihiro and Sojo’s first encounter with each other. Then, we jump ahead in time, as it’s now January 11th.

This unnamed boy’s getting beat up by a bunch of thugs because he’s trying to save a girl. The boy saves the girl, so the thugs decide to make him their prisoner. The thugs’ boss tells his minions they can get more “young flesh” at the Rakuzaichi Auction. However, this boss’s goons convince their boss to let them hunt for the girl again.

The boy pretends to cast a spell, but the thugs catch onto his charade. The boss tells his goons to chop his body up and throw the pieces away. Suddenly, Chihiro arrives and starts massacring this thug boss’s minions. He approaches the boss and we receive a flashback between Chihiro and Shiba.

Shiba informs Chihiro that Sojo didn’t have the Shinuichi Blade and has no connections to the Rakuzaichi Auction event. Chihiro questions Shiba on how Sojo claimed Cloud Gouger but Shiba doesn’t give him a solid answer. He says they should focus their attention on the Sazanami Family and share their ties to the auction with Chihiro.

Shiba says it’ll be difficult to get into contact with this family, so he and Chihiro plan to interrogate the family’s customers for intel. In the present, Chihiro tries to interrogate the thugs’ boss, but the boy intervenes and starts annoying Chihiro with his kind remarks. We learn the boy is named Hakuri Sazanami. The chapter closes with Hakuri planning to tell Chihiro how he ended up in this predicament.
