Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 38

Chapter 267 of Jujutsu Kaisen begins with a flashback. Yuta and Satoru discuss Sukuna’s last finger and who should have it. The two regroup with Mei Mei, Yuji, and others sometime afterward. Then, Satoru and Yuta discuss Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine and Yuta’s Copy Cursed Technique.

Yuta argues why using his Copy Cursed Technique to copy Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine wouldn’t be a good idea. Therefore, Yuta and the others keep Sukuna’s final finger for a different purpose. Then, we return to the present. Sukuna and Yuji are still fighting. Sukuna notices Yuji’s missing two fingers.

Sukuuna knows he swallowed one of them when he transferred himself into Megumi’s body. As for Yuji’s other finger, Sukuna realizes Yuta fed Rika it to copy Malevolant Shrine with his Copy Cursed Technique. We receive the same shot of Sukuna’s final finger bonded by wires in that undisclosed location. 

Utahime and Yoshinobu discuss the final finger and Nobara enters the fold. Nobara uses Resonance to deal damage to Sukuna from this undisclosed location. Sukuna is concerned because Nobara’s technique will allow Yuji to attack him without worry. 

Yuji delivers several blows to Sukuna. Sukuna retaliates and pushes Yuji back. Then, Sukuna taunts Yuji, stating he’ll be the one to perish. Yuji isn’t affected by Sukuna’s words.

The chapter ends with Yuji attacking Sukuna with Black Flash. 

The Chapter Review

After months of speculation and waiting, Nobara reentered the tale. While it’s great knowing she didn’t perish after Mahito’s attack during the Shibuya Incident Arc, one can’t help but feel disappointed that she wasn’t utilized sooner. Her sudden reappearance lacks impact as many would’ve preferred seeing her reenter the tale sooner. 

While her outcome was ambiguous, some may feel her inclusion here feels rushed. Regardless, we’re hopeful Gege Akutami finds a way to give her, Yuji, and potentially Megumi, a solid conclusion once this story wraps up in four more chapters. 

The Sukuna and Yuji fight itself was visually appealing. Seeing the two exchange punches and words to each other adds to their fight’s intensity. It makes matters captivating and will leave folks wondering how matters will go. Yet, with only a few chapters left, one can assume who will win. 

Nevertheless, Akutami has thrown in some interesting twists in the past, so we’ll have to wait if our heroes are the ones who walk away triumphantly. But all in all, this was a decent chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen.
