Chapter 262 of Jujutsu Kaisen begins with Yuta (who is using Satoru’s body) and Sukuna using their Domain Expansion techniques. Then, Yuta ponders the small barrier technique Satoru developed to counter Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine’s Cursed Technique. Yuta argues since Sukuna’s exhausted, he can hold his domain for three minutes. 

Then, the narrator says to counterattack Yuta’s method, Sukuna will remove 99 seconds from this three-minute limit by shrinking Malevolent Shrine’s effective range. Sukuna plans to do this until this surrounds Yuta’s domain’s outer shell. Overall, Yuta wants to inflict damage on Sukuna within three minutes. 

Sukuna wants to destroy Yuta’s Unlimited Void, widen the Malevolent Shrine, and kill Yuta, Todo, Yuji, and anyone else available on the battlefield. After that explanation-fest, Sukuna and Yuta exchange blows. Sukuna appears to be the more dominating party in this fight, but he notices something’s off. Then, we cut away to Rika comforting Yuta somewhere as she cries. The chapter closes with Yuta closing his eyes and Rika uttering his name. 

The Chapter Review

And with that, Jujutsu Kaisen comes and goes, leaving fans with a short chapter to read this week, unlike previous ones. Murmurs online suggests Gege Akutami, the story’s author, isn’t doing well. Considering this chapter didn’t contain anything of merit from a narrative or art standpoint, we hope this two-week break will serve Akutami well. Hopefully, the officials at Jump aren’t pushing him too hard.

As mentioned earlier, this chapter doesn’t offer readers anything insightful. It’s a simple chapter that updates them on Yuta’s current fight with Sukuna. Moreover, it contains the same intricately-written battle jargon Jujutsu Kaisen fans have come to expect from Akutami’s hit manga series. 

Fortunately, this chapter gives audiences a clear picture of our current hero and villain’s main agendas regarding this battle of theirs. As to who will prevail over whom, begs to be seen. Nevertheless, we anticipate Akutami will give readers a satisfying outcome to this battle. Although this chapter wasn’t great, we’re optimistic that this Sukuna-driven affair will lead to a marvelous outcome.
