Jee Karda – Season 1 Episode 5 Recap & Review

In episode 5 of Jee Karda, after being physically abused by his boyfriend Yavar, Melroy ends up in the hospital. Melroy claims he was mugged when the inspector first asks about his condition. To keep Yavar safe, he lies to the policeman. However, after the officer has left, his friends confront him about it.

The officer informs Melroy that it’s strange that the man they arrested isn’t confessing despite being beaten. Finally, Melroy admits to the policeman that his boyfriend assaulted him. He then receives a slap from the officer. Following that, Arjun threatens Yavar over the phone, telling him what will happen if he ever hits Melroy again.

Lavanya discusses her situation with Preet. She then questions Preet if marrying Rishabh is the right decision. After that, Preet reassures her and advises her to relax. Thereafter, Preet recalls Lavanya and Rishabh’s dating days in college. Their conversation prompts Lavanya to take Rishabh on a date that includes street food and public transport. They end up enjoying their time together thoroughly.

Preet and Krish spend the night together after he visits her home. Following that, they have an argument and they break up. Immediately after, Preet posts on social media about his cruelty towards the street dog. She doesn’t remove the post despite his warnings.

Lavanya goes to her mother’s house to console her as she is going through a breakup. Meanwhile, Rishabh and Arjun are having an amazing time together. Later that evening, they sneak Melroy out of the hospital room. They even invite Shahid to join them following that.

Aayat tells Shahid that she is married when he asks her to marry him. She informs him that she’s trying to work things out with her husband, leaving Shahid heartbroken. Preet makes Maggi for Shahid a few hours later as a way of comforting him. Following that, he discusses how he always felt excluded from the group.

Arjun, Lavanya, and Rishabh are on their way home while drunk. Following that, Rishabh receives a message revealing a significant business loss. Lavanya loses her cool when she finds out that he used the funds they had been saving to purchase a home. They end up having an argument. Following that, he is hit by a car, and the episode comes to a close.

The Episode Review

Most of the characters are having a difficult time, and episode 5 of Jee Karda is brimming with chaos. However, the episode’s entertaining moments serve to beautifully balance the tension. As the episode comes to a close, Rishabh is hit by a car. It will be interesting to see how things develop from here.
