The show follows the life of Sophie and her friends as they explore their work and love lives in New York City. An older Sophie, played by Kim Cattrall, narrates the entire thing to her son, building up to the reveal of who his father is.
Younger Sophie is played by Hilary Duff. Her (current) primary love interests are Jesse (Christopher Lowell) and Ian (Daniel Augustin), although Sophie dates a number of others as well. The rest of the cast includes Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, and Tien Tran, who form the rest of Sophie’s eclectic group.

What happened in Episode 12?
Thanks to a clue from a photograph, Sophie finds three candidates who could be her father. The gang split up and engage in escapades trying to locate the real one. Sophie and Val end up finding her real father who works at a hot dog restaurant. They conduct dad-tests and realise he’s a good man, but Sophie gets too overwhelmed and doesn’t approach him.
Meanwhile, Sid keeps texting Taylor, the girl he met on the plane.
